We have a somewhat similar setup with a Jackary solar generator, but our intention has never been to add or extend the range of our R1T. We use ours to maintain our small Jackary battery pack which runs our powered cooler, electric cooking devices, camp lighting, and a water pump for filtering...
Personally, I would only be interested if these could function as rock sliders, not simply running boards. I agree that an all matte black finish would be best.
We love our roofnest. We mounted it on the lowest available bed rack from Xtrusion Overland. The range impact of the tent itself is minimal. We have since added other rooftop equipment (tank and tent shower, panels for solar generator) which have a bit more impact. We still typically get...
A few weeks back someone mentioned that lots of folks who don’t know much about Rivian aren’t aware that it’s an American company. I see part of the role of being an early adopter is serving as a rolling advertisement for Rivian. To appeal to others who otherwise might not have considered the...
FWIW I had the same battery warning light come on recently, and I have a similar wait for mobile service. We have family visiting from out of town so our driveway is a bit crowded this week. As a consequence I did leave the truck unplugged the other night and had no trouble the next morning...
Yes this happened to us once when we pushed the entrapment button in the bed to see what it was. That message stayed on for several days but cleared before our scheduled service appointment when we pushed the entrapment button again. Weird but it hasn’t happened again.
I just installed the DCE sliders on my R1T this weekend. Straightforward process using two rows of beefy bolts (torx along the outer rail, hex bolts where the battery pack secures to the inner rail). The front and rear jack points are wide open - no interference at all. I’m really happy with the...
This 10 gal version weighs 120lbs full. Yakima sells several different sizes. It would be nice to have a shorter one that would fit on the rack behind the cab, but this one works fine for us. https://www.rei.com/product/191520/yakima-roadshower-portable-shower-10-gal
Thanks!
The cab wall panel is from BuiltRight. We ended up using this set off Amazon for the side panels to save a little expense: Klutchtech Side Bed Molle System... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMQGDN4Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
So our setup is a combination of a Clearsource RV water filter and a tent shower / water pump from Joolca. The Joolca pump has a plastic filter to keep large debris out, and the Clearsource filter takes care of the small stuff all the way down to viruses. (!)
Yes good question about the kayak mount. I’m still debating using our existing kayak supports (which should be able to attach to the middle two crossbars) and carrying the kayak upright versus flipping it over, supporting the bow and stern with the outer two crossbars, and making a couple custom...
