Just blow a bit into the other side of the filter to backwash it.I just imagined bits a soap, body hair, and bits of taco night plate leftovers clogging the filter and grossed myself out >.<

Very cool! I’d be interested to hear what your energy consumption turns out to be with this setup. My wife and I enjoy outdoors stuff, especially windsurfing at the coast, camping, hiking, backpacking, and skiing. We have had so much fun designing our setup for our R1T to sync with all of our activities and allow luxuries that we’ve never had before.
The final components arrived last week, so we were able to set everything up over the weekend. We went with an awesome Xtrusion Overland rack set low to support our RTT tucked behind the cab. That arrangement, paired with Roofnest’s crossbars and a set of custom aluminum brackets, allow the RTT crossbars to align with our cab-mounted Rivian crossbars (to support our 2 person kayak and our Yakima water tank + tent shower).
We set molle panels around the front and sides of the bed for mounting gear, including a sweet RV filter which will allow us to recycle our shower and dishwashing water. We’re considering a solar powered cooler down the road, but we’ll just use our old cooler and bagged ice for now.
Let us know what you think!

Wow!! You’re going to love it.That looks amazing! We also have a Red R1T and our Roofnest arrives on Wednesday!
I think so! We're replacing our Yakima RTT which is often difficult to setup/take down. Looks like you camp a lot. You might be interested in our Overland Kitchen for the R1T. We've found it enhances the camping experience quite a bit.Wow!! You’re going to love it.
The cab wall panel is from BuiltRight. We ended up using this set off Amazon for the side panels to save a little expense: Klutchtech Side Bed Molle System... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMQGDN4Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_shareThe molle panels on the side of the bed... Are those BuiltRight? Where did you get them?
So what does that big water tank weigh when it's full?Let us know what you think!

This 10 gal version weighs 120lbs full. Yakima sells several different sizes. It would be nice to have a shorter one that would fit on the rack behind the cab, but this one works fine for us. https://www.rei.com/product/191520/yakima-roadshower-portable-shower-10-galSo what does that big water tank weigh when it's full?
