I love my Rivian but they have not figured out the service experience, it is jarring when you come from a luxury experience. Have faith that once fixed you will love the car and not be in the service station much. Routine stuff can be done remotely and the remote techs are great.
Mine did that when rear drive shafts broke (around 7k miles), basically only front motor was working. Note - even though I was in turtle mode, I wasnāt limited to 40, it effectively drove like I was in conserve mode.
I also recently had a great experience with the slime/compressor system combo, I thought I needed a spare until I was forced to use the slime and went from extremely flat tire to on the road in less than 5 minutes
one note is that Iām not sure you can have the tire fixed after the slime is...
I had a pretty identical experience. Though my rental experience through enterprise was brutal (some locations wouldn't accept Rivian credit account, almost none had cars available much less a big enough car for multiple car seats).
Work got done, was a bit slow.
Wait what?
One thing I love about BMWs is that there are also plenty of options beyond the dealership when you have problems.
This is not an option with RIvian, you are basically forced into the dealership experience when you have problems.
According to Rivian, two of my problems listed above...
I wrote this exact same post a few weeks ago and didnāt post it. Love my R1S but service is so rough.
1. I had my car broken into, I finally got a service date and confirmed the part would be in (which took a week) and when I showed up for my service appointment they to say they couldnāt do it...
I donāt think it is a phantom drain, rather just how it is coded/programmed, it stops at 69.51% and then when it drops by .02% (powering wifi / sleep mode / sensors) it says 69% (rounded from 69.49%).

I thought this was the case with mine but eventually (after 15 minutes of struggling) they worked. I think the instructions arenāt very clear, which is the biggest problem. I also think that the challenging fit is designed to mitigate any rattle or vibrationā¦

Any plans for an East Bay service center. There a a zillion Rivianās in my neighborhood (Rockridge, Oakland) and we are either having to go to South SF or San Jose, not great.
Agree, and the technician reiterated that as well. It was disconcerting because the warning went away right after contacting Rivian service, and I attributed it to a bug which was a mistake in hindsight.
Within 24 hours of the most recent update, I got a 12V error message in the app. I contacted service. Followed directions and it went away the next day. 5 days later the error come back but only after the 12V was dead and my R1S couldnāt be opened or charged. The main battery was at 61% when the...
