“Performance Limited Right Now, Drive with caution”

Hello anybody know what this means? Was driving on the highway and this light came on and noticeably the drive was different. I was about 15 mins from home so I just coasted on in.

called service and they said it was a S/W glitch but didn’t sound too credible.

I did a hard reset and it went away but definitely concerned.

I have a 2023 R1T Dual Motor Performance/ 4500 miles, owner of 3 months.

It could be a software glitch, that has been know and resetting makes it go away. Nothing mechanical or it would have persisted.

Turtle mode, which can limit you to either 15mph or 40mph I think. Try doing a vehicle reset and see if it comes back.

Thanks both, I just confirmed that after the reset all seems to function well. That was a bit concerning going into turtle on the highway... I hope it was a one time glitch....

mine did that as well....weeks ago...went away on its own w/o reset and hasnt recurred...seems like software to me.....

Mine did that when rear drive shafts broke (around 7k miles), basically only front motor was working. Note - even though I was in turtle mode, I wasn’t limited to 40, it effectively drove like I was in conserve mode.

It's worth filing a ticket, they can pull the logs and hopefully see what caused the issue.
Even if a false software glitch, good to raise the flag to feed the bug fix machine...

Thats exactly what happened! @ wilson did you take it into the shop? Did the turtle mode disappear or remain on?

Rear disconnect error is my guess.
