  1. R2 teething/early issues -- Talk about your post-delivery concerns or headaches

OT but I’d love to see the forum thread griping about the design choice of the new BMW iX3 steering wheel
  2. R2 Towed 24 hours In (after charging issues at Tesla Supercharger)

I’ve heard it said that with an EV, if it’s going to fail, it will do so early on and even then the percentages are low. Different than ICE where mechanicals fail later. Get the adapters and when you take delivery try every scenario before hitting the road. After a few months of use, you won’t...
  3. 2023 R1T: Paint bubbling on door. Rust bubble? Is this covered by warranty?

The repair was done well. Zero issues but that may vary by body shop. They even replaced some of the plastic trim including the bed rail. Im being lazy and don’t have time to look but I think there’s a service bulletin on this now.
  4. 2023 R1T: Paint bubbling on door. Rust bubble? Is this covered by warranty?

Is that LA Silver or Limestone? I had the same thing on my Gen 1 T (silver). Rivian replaced the whole door. 3 weeks in the body shop.
  5. Chester County, PA Inspection Shop

I use D Avico in Wayne. They have pucks and are quick turnaround
  6. Great Truck - Unrealistic to Maintain

I think context is important. R1 Gen 1 vs Gen 2 vs R2. We're now getting to where long term reviews of R1's are coming in and a lot of the common concerns are around the suspension design and early manufacturing choices. I expect/hope that the 4yr reviews on R2's will be different.
  7. Glass Ceiling Treatment?

For #2, I had my sides done with quality tint but skipped the roof and just put one of the Vion's in as a test - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FH9Y9KH5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Quick install, decent quality, cheaper than most, helped lower the temp -> keeper
  8. Living with the R2 - 48 Hour Review

are you going to take it on the sand?
  9. Rivian RSB-93-26-001-1 : Door Trim Panel Noise and Vibration

I have a '25 Gen 2 S as well. It's funny how this one rattles in all the places my Gen 1 T didnt. But that T had rattles in places this S doesn't. I'd say my Gen 1 T was much noisier (dash rattle and suspension were much worse). Still, I can commiserate with what you've listed above trying to...
  10. 2027 R1 Due in August - What's Changing?

especially given most of the reliability complaints are around the suspension holding up and NVH
  11. Rivian vs Scout (⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS)

    what's next on the list?
  12. Rivian vs Scout (⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS)

I have two buddies with one. Total muscle car guys who wouldn't have otherwise gotten an EV. Great range. The T-Tops are the best part! There's worse looking things (like CT and that BYD posted earlier)
  13. Rivian vs Scout (⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS)

I don’t necessarily disagree but the factory is being built (slowly). If* they come to market, I’m only interested in the BEV version and how it compares to whatever Gen of Rivian at that time and whether VW dealers will be service centers.
  14. Four years, four R1Ts. An adventure and a bitter-sweet cautionary tale.

Important context here. Different suspension designs and time will tell on what they did for the HVAC.
  15. NO REVERSE BEEPS ON R1S OR RIT

it’s the old IT joke but steering wheel and seat. OP said it’s happened on 3 R1’s and family is gun shy riding with him. I turn my rear alert off for the bike rack but the cameras and the rest of the sensors do a great job. So do my eyes.
  16. 20" Inch New Tire: GoodYear ElectricDrive AT

Can attest. I’m 12,000 miles into my Territory AT’s and the noise is still pretty much the same (low). Much quieter than the Pirellis were at this mileage! @B Digs - still waiting for a 34” option these. 😀
  17. Pennsylvania Freebie - camp speaker drawer replacement

Apologies for the late reply, I bought this printed from one of the vendor sponsors on here. Sorry, dont remember which.
  18. Indianapolis to Maine road trip (via Philly and Boston) - 2200 miles

EA blows. Use the grades filter for chargers. 'A' or bust. Most of the turnpike rest areas in PA, NJ, NY are kicking off Tesla and installing 3rd party universal chargers that dont show up on our nav systems -they seem new and good quality. Go Birds 🦅
