I posted proof that you don’t need overheat protection on the post coldest ac ever. You can see the Rivian cooling down much faster than the Tesla. I took screen shots of temp and Time because people just complain about the ac and provide now proof. Well I provided proof. Tesla with over heat...
I see so many posts about the air conditioning not being any good and everyone seems to think cabinover heat protection like Tesla would fix it. I have a 24’ R1T DMP and a 23’ Tesla Model 3 Performance.
I decided to test them against each other. It’s currently 91 and I’m in Los Angeles. Both...
I have melted gummy bears and chapstick in my Tesla with cabin overheat protection on if they were sitting out in the sun I really don’t think it’s needed. I think most of you operate your car ac like the a/c in your house which is why it never cools down. Just put it on LO It was 95...
Mine was doing the same thing after the last update so I did a full reset, left button on steering and emergency flashers and it’s charging at full speed now even when it’s over 90 out.
It sounds like either there is something wrong with your vehicle or you don’t know how to use it. Why are you not pre conditioning and using sunshades? Why are you not setting it on LO? I will agree the ac is not quiet but it is more then cold enough. Sounds like most of you set it like the ac...
Rivian does not respond quickly to messages or emails. They used to but lately it takes 2-3 days to get a response. So i would suggest calling them and telling them your vehicle doesn’t feel safe to drive. Good luck and sorry about your problems.
I noticed that you can now use split ac controls when I’m the only one in my vehicle. Previously I could only set one temperature unless someone was in the passenger seat. I like to set the passenger side cooler for my dog in the back seat passenger side.
Has anyone figured out how to power it off. If I hold the action button down for a few seconds it appears to power down. But the next day when I go to turn it on the power is dead.
I also noticed if you hit the mute button it stays lit up after the speaker is powered down so it makes me think...
If you are leasing then I get not wanting to waste money. I’m leasing and I wouldn’t pay for the upgrade if I didn’t already have it. I got the Performance because it was the same 0-60 as my Model Y P. It does have more drive modes but I don’t really use them often.
If you really want the ev credit get the DM and upgrade it when it becomes available. Rivian has already said they will be offering a software unlock for $$$
Why is this relevant? We’re decommissioning nuclear power plants because we have nowhere to put the nuclear waste. It is all stored at every single nuclear power plant operating or not around the United States. Nuclear power is not our future. Have you noticed how solar and wind power seems to...
I would add your credit card to your Rivian app before you go to charge. I did it on a Road trip and I couldn’t get it to work but on my return home it was fine.
I find that my a2z adapter works best by plugging it into the Rivian then plugging the Tesla cord into plugged in adapter.
I had an issue like this last year with my Tesla branded Charger. It kept slowing down on hot days. They ended up replacing it and I have no issues now. I didn’t think it was my charger until I called them. I had O trouble codes and it was only doing it with one of my ev’s.
I’m really starting to think people just don’t know how to use a car air conditioner. I had three Teslas. Two with heat pumps and one without. The air conditioner and heat were faster in the non heat pump model 3 but I’d say I noticed more of a difference with the heat.
My R1T has the coldest...
