That's got to be a Rivian problem, because Hwy 1 definitely has cell coverage the entire way. That's just another reason for CarPlay - you could have easily used offline maps instead of having to buy and carry a separate GPS device.

I just need a certain amount of cargo space and Supercharger access. Whatever gets there first gets my money. I definitely would like an R1S, but I’m not going to wait around for it if something else reasonable comes along. (No, I don’t want a Gen 1).

Ugh, Canada is an afterthought, like always. I’m ready to buy now, but if I have to wait that long, I might as well wait for the EV9 to gain Supercharger access. Who knows, maybe the EV5 will be out by then.

The EV9 MSRP in Canada is more sensible than down there. For example, the base Light RWD starts at $60k CAD (~$44k USD), vs your starting price of $54k USD. However, our dealers are behind the curve in getting inventory, so they're still marking things up by $10k just for fun. EV9 does already...

What's your source on that, is this efficiency difference quantified somewhere? I'm leaning towards the 20"s (mostly for decent winter tire options). I wouldn't normally pay extra for the dark rims, but if they're more efficient, I'd probably go for them. Great write up, btw. Very helpful.
