  1. Rivian Assistant - Wish list

Same here - tried that and it had no idea what I was talking about.
  2. Rivian Assistant - Wish list

I liked that I was able to ask "Hey Rivian, what appointments does my dog have next week?" and it told me about his day care/group play session at the local trainer😁 That calendar entry has zero mention of the word dog. I'll continue to have fun with this while it kind of remains a nonsense...
  3. Grab Handles for R2

Aside from the obvious cost management, I think this speaks to how much "off-roading" a R2 is really capable of.
  4. Getting remote - Escalante Grand Stair Case Trip With R1T

I'd expect so. That's pretty much the configuration I have, though I let Autonomy+ lapse after the 60-day trial. Maybe I will see you on the trail out here some time (I'm in SW Utah).
  5. Getting remote - Escalante Grand Stair Case Trip With R1T

I took my R1S to Escalante last week. Coming from SW Utah I left home with 100%, charged up to 99% again at the Supercharger in Bryce Canyon City, and that was enough for a few days running around the desert (Cosmic Ashtray, Devil's Garden, etc.). Needed about 30 minutes of charging at Bryce...
  6. Routing Starlink cable from crossbar into gear tunnel outlet

I run my GMRS antenna cable between the roof and rear of my R1S where the main GMRS unit is connected to the 12V outlet - no need to drill any holes or do anything fancy. No problems closing the hatch, and no crimping of the cable. I'm not sure how thick the Starlink cable is, but you'll...
  7. Rear hatch trim falling off

    Appreciate that tip. Thanks!
  8. Rear hatch trim falling off

Thanks - I'll try that on mine too.
  9. Rear hatch trim falling off

Thanks. The nearest service center is 2 hours drive, and it would be great to figure out how to get them to come to me to take care of this. This is the vertical edge of the upper part of the tailgate on the passenger side of my R1S. BTW - the driver side A pillar trim also decided to come...
  10. Rear hatch trim falling off

On a trip out to Grand Staircase Escalante recently I noticed the passenger side rubber trim on the hatch starting to detach. It doesn't appear to be held on by anything, and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this. I can of course glue it back on, but I'm not sure if that's a long term solution.
  11. What's on your R2 Tri-Motor Wishlist from Rivian Adventure Division?

Air suspension, full-size spare tire, underbody protection, factory rock slider option.
  12. How many R1 owners are moving to R2?

The thinking was I'd buy it and then sell it shortly afterward. I know that reservations are not transferable.
  13. How many R1 owners are moving to R2?

Put me down as a 'no'. I have a day 1 R2 reservation, but once details started to filter out it was clear that the R1S was a better fit for me (principally off-road capabilities). I haven't cancelled by R2 reservation yet as I'm wondering if there's a flip opportunity ;)
  14. What Actually Fails First in Real-World Rivian Ownership

I use 303 detailer for the lower plastic trim and it works really well. Just need to be sure not to let it dry. No more expensive than any other regular detailer.
  15. GMRS antenna placements - which option is better?

I didn't want to find homes up front for all of the pieces, so I did an initial trial without the speaker. Turns out that if the 3rd-row is folded down I can hear it fine.
  16. GMRS antenna placements - which option is better?

I have a 15W Midland MXT275 in my R1S. I have the main unit vertically mounted on double-sided velcro forward of the 12V outlet in the trunk. I ran the cable under the seats to the front to the handheld part. When I'm using the radio I run the antenna cable through the gap in the tailgate and it...
  17. Anyone else been here in a Rivian? (White Pocket, AZ)

For sand, airing down is key (Rivian recommends 31psi), and you'll want to keep up momentum whenever possible. It may be tempting to pull over to take photos, but that's a good recipe for getting stuck. The sand in this area can literally be like talcum powder when dry. I'd also recommend some...
  18. Anyone else been here in a Rivian? (White Pocket, AZ)

Sounds like a great trip. AT tires are 100% needed for this area (I live in Southern Utah). Toroweap may be a stretch depending on your range. The Tuweep campground is 85 miles from the nearest supercharger, and if you decide to put the Rivian in offroad mode once you leave pavement...
