Surprised that with max pack, you couldn’t do 200+ miles, even though it’s cold weather. Looks quit a let down from advertised 400+ miles ? How’s the self driving in the Rivian ?
I am new to this forum, but the obsession ( 100%negative way) here with Musk and Tesla is hilarious :CWL: I have been on TMC for over 6 years and rarely ever there’s any mention of other makes!
I normally don’t respond to this stuff, but…….
That’s what a forum is for sharing info, not just for fanboys. No, this never happened to me in 20+ autos I bought and it’s not excusable. Rivian should have done better QA before delivery.
You’re right, plus points for Rivian IF you need a 7 seater. But the X has “premium “ sound system that’s not available on the large pack, even as an option.
I am in the market for the same and skeptical about the range protection of large pack. If they were able to magically squeeze our 3+ miles/kWh on the large pack, how come the max pack is still at 141 kWH, they didn’t make it smaller say 135kWH ? Afraid of Tesla “miles”. - vapourware.
I am waiting for the refresh news and following the forum posts. Not too thrilled to read the myriad problems reported with new deliveries! Hope they clear with the refresh
I didn’t read all the replies, but the government should regulate extreme gouging. The wholesale commercial cost is like 1 cent /kW or less and even with capital expenses, 40/50 times the base price is a lot.
Thanks for the detailed post, glad you had an uneventful experience. The 2+ hours of charging time / day seems like a lot and also the total cost of charging. Just for comparison, ICE with 22/mpg@$5.50 would come to around $625 and guess one stop per day at lunch or a break of less than 15...
This is speculation on my part, but it makes more sense (less of wasted battery) if standard / standard+ are one and large/max are one battery types rather than what was stated in other treads and apparent EPA filing.
