The Rivian API now includes the current total battery capacity. Attached is from Electrafi showing mine at 128.354996 (for those that call it a guess-o-meter - apparently the guess-o-meter goes to the sixth decimal place).

What was the spec of the R1S Large Pack in version 1? I am curious to my degradation after 18 months and 15,000 miles.

I'm curious if the software locked batteries show any degradation. They might show the full size of the pack, which would degrade. Or they might show the available size, which it would be kind of weird if it degraded. I have wondered if the SW limited people will always charge to 106 kwh, or 121 kwh for Standard and Standard+ packs.

From a decade of research on EV, google is your friend. Nothing to worry about for many years when it finally gets measurably meaningful.

FWIW, my 6 year old EV (Tesla Powertrain) with 45K miles lost about 2-3% when I sold it to Carvana LY. The difference between summer and winter is a lot more significant, yet summer comes back around.

Large pack on Gen 1 is said to be 131 kWh usable. That is confirmed at the link below (this page's info may change if the page is updated to Gen 2). I think they initially shipped with less usable and a software update around a year ago expanded the capacity a bit. I think I heard the battery pack physically can hold 141 kWh (edit: or is it 135?) but only 131 is usable.

When we first discovered the batterycapacity field in the API it was showing exactly 127 for everyone. (At the time they only made one battery size, large)

I had not looked at it recently, I don't know when it changed to displaying anything other than exactly 127. But mine is now reporting 130.774994

Mine has bounced around a little since I noticed the field was there, but currently showing 130.723 kWh at 21k miles.

I would expect at least four digits of resolution considering 7000 batteries.
