  1. Latest range maximization recommendations?

This is the way along with proper tire pressure. Lighter rims and tires would do something as well but slowing down is the #1 way to add more EV range or gas milage for ICE vehicles.
  2. Amazing! Over 20 vans!

We have at least 2-3 a day through our neighborhood for the latest couple years.
  3. What technique do you use to charge 2 EVs

I've never kept either R1T or Y plugged in during the winter and each morning they are set to warm up unplugged for respective driver at the right time. 251miles on the R1T @ 70% and 249miles on the Y at 80%. Don't have to charge but once a week on T and every 2 on Y. Unless you're a high...
  4. Switched from R1T (Gen 1 Quad) to a Ford Bronco

It's already happened. What's more backwards is more than a handful of countries pretty close or already 100% renewable energy. No good reason why USA isn't leading this, we have access to plentiful Hydro, Geothermal, Wind and Solar options as well. With the exception of transportation here...
  5. Switched from R1T (Gen 1 Quad) to a Ford Bronco

It's a vehicle, enjoy, don't have to explain to anyone. Our GLS450 is a big heavy tank than gets 28mpg on the highway going 600+ miles on a tank while holding the entire house inside. Much more useful roadtrip vehicle than the R1T, but we still use the T for <400 mile trips. I get the whole...
  6. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

You be better off investing that 9K and using that to pay repairs when necessary.
  7. What technique do you use to charge 2 EVs

One charger, alternate charging, none issue. We have a Y and an R1T. I charge the Y in the evening and plug in the R1 before I go to bed. Never been an issue based on the difference in daily/weekly milage between them.
  8. Front suspension fail

100%, noise aside keeping a pickup truck flat in a tight corner at a high rate of speed has never been done so well. Essentially no body roll and the limit is 7K lbs and tires. And when it snows and Hotlanta become snowlanta, I just drive over the center medians to get home.
  9. PSA: 40% Up-Charge on Tesla Superchargers (Unless You Do This)

Well documented, I ran into this when the adapters shipped over a year ago.
  10. Why I’m leaving the Rivian Family After Owning / Leasing 3 R1Ts

Posts without worth outnumber posts with worth 4-5 to 1 in this forum if you hadn't noticed. OP started this in Dec 25. But still here posting he's leaving. I'd have been gone in December. Three Rivians. Three Ruined Vacations. A $120K Safety Failure.
  11. Why I’m leaving the Rivian Family After Owning / Leasing 3 R1Ts

Just like any vehicle I've owned it's good until it isn't. Once I have an issue where the inconvenience > vehicle worth, I'm out. Hasn't happened yet, but if it does I call Carvana the same day and move on. I'll go buy something else in cash and see how that works.....Thinking a Sprinter...
  12. Charging at Rivian Adventure Network with Pet comfort on a hot day

I've never seen this before, but I don't charge past 80% when on roadtrips in our R1T or Model Y. 75-85% is always slow regardless of outside temp, climate on/off but without any messages.
  13. Rivian won't charge over 60kw at high speed chargers

I know you know this already, but get off the forum and take it in for service. Let us know what Rivian says.
  14. Non-semi active suspension on the R2

Not sure if the specification of the suspension has been laid out other than semi-active which really doesn't say anything except it's capable of changing how it behaves. I would want to know is it active preload, dampening and/or rebound along with how often it samples the action to adjust itself.
  15. What to do when key card takes forever to unlock R1T?

I always precondition my R1 to my leave time, so PAAK, Fob, Card, Wrist keys are always quick as it's already awake.
  16. USB-C ports limited to 15 watts in R2? **Updated 8/12** Ports confirmed at 60W?

I thought 15W was the spec for USB-C ports, so confirmed via google. What you are looking for is USB PD which is rare in vehicles as USB-C spec is used. Need a hub plugged into the rear cargo 12V DC or 120V AC plug with a USB-C PD Cable from that hub to your laptop.. A USB port supplies...
  17. Nightmare delivery customer service

They are making interest on holding your money, while you are not for two weeks? Assuming the downpayment was significant, I'd make the drive to cancel and get my money back.
  18. Ketchum: Wait for LiDAR? - The Rivian R2 LiDAR story isn’t what you think

Rivian will be raising prices, all manufacturers do almost every year. At best they'll bury it in Destination so an increase, but not technically on the vehicle. $2500+any increase will push people to not buy Autonomy up front fueling an eventual subscription model like Tesla has adopted. I...
  19. Nightmare delivery customer service

I had thought with the new launch things might be better than R1, but also worried the additional different vehicle and volume could overwhelm SC's. I'd get the money back and bail. No vehicle is worth this level of aggravation especially since they have your down payment.
