So... I know this is all semantics at this point. But it appears something about the order process (or at least the wording) is different for Gen 2. I went ahead and submitted my order today (yay) BUT... It IMMEDIATELY went to "Configuration Confirmed" Status. How (or if) that's different from...
Dual motor models do not have conserve. Tri and quad motor still do. Not sure if it functions the same way as it does in gen 1, but they do have conserve mode still
The more that I'm thinking about it, the more I'm wondering if it's to do with the lfp battery more so than the motors. The trimotor has the same front, and it is primarily front wheel drive unless needed. So I'm thinking either a battery related issue, or just an arbitrary software lock because...
I'm hoping so too!
I just now also had the thought it could possibly be tied to battery pack as well. Maybe something with the LFP battery that they don't want to spike that much energy into the battery?
Oh ok well that's great news then! Seems like there's just not a whole lot to complain about with the new gen.
In what dimension would you say the frunk is smaller? Width, height, depth? I 100% don't care about this one. Just curious more than anything haha
This makes me very sad. I'm on the verge of ordering a gen 2. My buddy has a gen 1 and the high Regen setting is one of my favorite things about the driving Dynamics
:(
Would you say that the regen is now less strong than it was before? Or does it just come on more gradually?
I've also heard...
Hmmm that doesn't really make sense for matching a shop build though, as I'm doing a dual large R1T, and Gen 2 R1T isn't available at all in the shop yet.
But regardless, I see that you're talking about with the "pricing can change" thing
**Edit**
I see "confirm order" not "confirm build"...
Maybe I'm looking at this wrong... But I've NEVER used this on my Tesla. Ever. Is there a problem with the car getting hot when nobody's in it?
If you don't remember to precondition, getting into a hot car and blasting AC seems pretty normal and doable to me 🤷. There are still plenty of ice...
Yeah, just trying to figure out timing. I'd like to put in the order sooner than later just in case pricing changes or whatever. But I also would hate for it to arrive before I have my finances prepared LOL
So I guess just to be on the safe side... Wait until the estimated window online matches...
I'm on the verge of putting in an order for R1T. The current delivery estimate for my build is showing sep-oct. The problem is I won't be ready to buy until closer to nov-dec.
When I went to the local service center and did a demo drive, the rep told me that's totally doable. He said that at...
