I'm still trying to think of a place to both store and charge a 12v jump device that's accessible from outside the vehicle with no power.
It's quite a conundrum.
You can get into the frunk with no power, but they removed the 12v from there :(.
Ya I'm sorry, your agent didn't know what they were talking about. Maybe as said above they mixed up 5G cellular and 5ghz Wi-Fi or something but I also have only a 5ghz network at my house (due to all my neighbors having tons of 2.4 clogging up the bands) and everything works fine on 5ghz.
Yea, already booked an appointment with Discount for tomorrow. They had half a dozen available in town.
Sucks having to replace a tire with less than 6k on it lol.
Any and all shops will 100% say to replace it, because they absolutely won't come close to touching the liability of even hinting it's good to go. Even if it's 99% good to go, that 1% will make them tell you to replace it.
Asking a shop these days, unfortunately, will not get you a fair answer...
Just noticed this yesterday. Rear passenger side. No idea how long it's been like this. I don't remember hitting anything or kissing any corners to cause this, but it was probably something like that.
No issues holding air so far. 5000 Miles on the truck, have a full size spare. Should I swap...
Also, I discovered what the R105G represents.
It's a Rivian specific electroplated coating:
This company does it at least, Don't know if any others do

Any idea if something like one of these would work? Maybe file down the edges a little bit more

Tesla superchargers will slow charging based on the temperature of the NACS connector. If it gets hot, it slows down.
That's why people were attempting to 'cheat the heat' by wrapping the handle & adapter in a wet towel or something to cool out down to prevent derating in the past.
The easiest...
You are correct. Official procedure has the half shaft bolt removed, and the half shaft pushed back to create clearance to access the hub bolts.
Once the hub bolts are tightened to spec (105Nm), then the half shaft is slid back in, and the half-shaft bolt REPLACED. it is not reusable.
The half...

This also has the rivian approved tools and method to tighten them. Unfortunately it involves removing the halfshaft bolt and replacing it, as you...
So the above issue is an ongoing issue that is known about.
Good news: People have looked after its been posted in the past and found one bolt completely missing and suffered no consequences, the truck still drove fine for who knows how long without it. Although not recommended, people have...
To actually answer your question, you'd need to pull them out, and charge/load test them individually.
That's the only way to know. You could have batteries that are still 90% capable, or ones that are about to fail. No way to know without testing.
I deal with a lot of lead acid UPS batteries...
Going back to this @Electrified Outdoors, say I purchase said battery bank... Where do I keep it so that I can: 1) Keep it charged and accessible at all times, and 2) access it if/when the battery fails?
Ideally I'd want to keep it on the truck, and topped off, however that provides a few...
If it were me, I'd do a 12v reset.
Look up replacing the 12v battery. Just... don't replace it. Disconnect them (Either 2 batteries, or 1 battery and cap depending on year), let it sit 15 minutes, reconnect it
But that's me.
A2Z got a Cease and desist from Tesla precisely because they didn't think their adapters were 'good enough' There was a whole engineering debate, etc, but yes, this recall is 100% because Tesla said they were not 'good enough' to use on Superchargers, even though A2Z claims otherwise (Still to...
It's not just that. It's been mentioned that it's Tesla who objects to the old design being suitable as well. They think it's perfectly safe, but Tesla doesn't.
Basically, if they want to become 'tesla certified' and officially a recommended adapter for Tesla and other OEMs (Ford just bought...
