  1. Adaptive Cruise speed adjustment

The dependency on AI is crazy. There's the whole argument that the most powerful people in the world are now the companies that run the AI. Without it, some people literally cannot do anything.
  2. Aftermarket R2 accessories wishlist

Yes! I'll be sure to try to document it all and send some results. My plan is to: Get the crate into the car Show the shop the pre-production photos of the cargo area where they actually had tie downs pictured. Hopefully this gives them an idea of where these are, and hopefully they are the...
  3. Different rolling diameters between the R2's wheel options

I've had different diameters before on my cars, including the Model Y Performance. The speed difference at slight differences in circumference was never an issue for me. The speedometer probably wasn't exact, but it probably wasn't very far off either. Going with smaller circumference might not...
  4. PPF - your cost and type ?

Cool. I get a sense that there's a bias towards people trying to find ways to justify not getting PPF, to not feel left out or that it's not needed. At the end of the day, I think it's really up to the owner to figure out if they care enough about little dings. I'm the type to cringe when I...
  5. Aftermarket R2 accessories wishlist

My purchases so far: Rivian Crossbars (ordered with car) LinerX mats, cargo mat, and seatbacks (didn't get a frunk one, don't need that) EVSportline tow-hook front-plate mount Samsung 512GB Flash Drive (https://a.co/d/06g9WRdA) Silicon license plate back/frame (https://a.co/d/08moo21B) - I have...
  6. PPF - your cost and type ?

    Foolish, I know o_O
  7. SF, CA -> Bend, OR -- favorite chargers?

    Hopefully they go live soon!
  8. SF, CA -> Bend, OR -- favorite chargers?

Is the IONNA open? A lot of these were "coming soon" when I checked.
  9. PPF - your cost and type ?

Resell value won't change. It's just what your tolerance is for chips. Also, I always have black cars, and you can see EVERYTHING. So take that into consideration. If you have silver/white colors, the PPF won't really help. But a black car? You can see every little thing.
  10. Adaptive Cruise speed adjustment

Obviously, one user is completely dependent on AI and that's how they function. The other understands the limitations and has gripes with certain AI tools, but also knows this can be solved with a quick human review... but that's just not an option for the AI-dependent person. We live in an...
  11. PPF - your cost and type ?

I got a few more quotes for installers around me, and every single new shop I ask, the price goes up haha. Here's one that's pretty close to me: XPEL Stealth: $6200 XPEL Ultimate Plus - Full front, mirrors, rockers, door edges, rear bumper: $3100 This price tracks with a few other shops I...
  12. SF, CA -> Bend, OR -- favorite chargers?

Do they suck because they're slow? Or something else? There's a lot of people there, especially weekends, but I've never had an issue getting an open charger.
  13. PPF - your cost and type ?

Go to the website of any PPF installer site, and they will usually show you exactly what's being wrapped. They have packages for common requests other than full. The site isn't letting me attach anything, but for example, goto this page and scroll towards the bottom...
  14. Autonomy test Drive: UBER's CEO & RJ Drive from Sunnyvale to Cupertino and back... hands free.

I love that you picked two points with a straight shot between them haha
  15. SF, CA -> Bend, OR -- favorite chargers?

Just went through your post! What an amazing trip. I also agree, Granzella's is kind of interesting. I'm not white nor Hispanic, so I used to get a lot of looks when I go in there, but over time they seem to have gotten over it with the Tesla superchargers there bringing in a lot of different...
  16. SF, CA -> Bend, OR -- favorite chargers?

Cottonwood is kind of fun. There's a little baseball field behind the strip mall that I take my dog over to and we run around (outside of the ballpark, on the sides) a bit. The only issue is there's sometimes broken glass around the gravel area near some of the dumpsters, so I'd just be wary of...
  17. PPF - your cost and type ?

My Model Y is the first car I didn't get a full wrap on, and it was totally fine. They wrapped entire panels though, and wrapped around edges, so you couldn't tell.
  18. PPF - your cost and type ?

OK, so PPF is normally clear or semi transparent (for stealth matte looks). The higher quality ones offer more clarity and sometimes better "shine" as it makes things more even, less orange peel, and all that. So essentially you keep the special car color underneath a transparent protective...
  19. PPF - your cost and type ?

Probably both. Also silver is very hard to see small tiny marks. If I had a silver car, I probably wouldn't get PPF.
