    Sunroof Shade Option

Haven't logged in here in over a month so I didn't see this. May be too late, but I had to do a little trimming. It was trivial since there is a gap between the glass and the rest of the roof. Just use a brand new blade or 2.

Hairbrained Idea - T-track Mount for Bed Rack

I am working with Xtrusion Overland on adapting my solution. They intend to clean up the "feet" where the uprights attach to the rails I fabbed up. I'm also talking to them about a 10% discount for the Rivian community. Give me a couple of weeks to get everything in place.

Mounting a cell phone. Has anyone done it?

Sorry for the delay, I've not logged in for a while. Here's what I got, and I"ve been very happy with it. AmazonSmile: AoliAo7 Clear Magnetic Case for Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Compatible with Magsafe Card Wallet& Wireless Chager, Screen & Camera Protection Shockproof Galaxy S22 Ultra Case...

ActionTrax traction recovery boards (vs MaxTrax, etc)?

I went with the Exitrax Ultimate. They don't list a max weight, but have a lifetime warranty and were a reasonable price.

Products & Accessories for Rivian R1T/R1S by TWRAPS

I did, for sure. At some point I want to take and IR picture through my roof and an unmodified R1T to "see" the difference.

    Colorado Drive with 11 R1Ts

I was running sweep on the first group of trucks. The rig directly in front of me had 21's and there were no issues related to the tires. The rig with 22's was a few trucks ahead, but again I didn't see any problems. Not sure if either of those owners is on here to chime in directly.

What I hate about my R1T

Glad to finally hear this officially. We know that the fob has proximity electronics in it, since the truck sense the fob is inside to let you drive away. Now they just need it working from outside. I'd still prefer the phone implementation (one less thing to have to carry), but if the fob...

    Rear brake light bar?

I need to update it, but this covers the most important info. https://s00n.rivianstories.com/posts/24880534?utm_source=manual

    Rear brake light bar?

As an aside, the RTT mounted on my bed rack blocks the 3rd brake light. I tried wiring in an auxiliary light directly to the passenger rear light assembly, but it was a fail. It's not an analog signal, but rather digital. I since found out it's not even simple digital, but a modified version...

Software Spotlight Version 2022.27.02 -- Official Rivian Feature

I actually think that downshifting and ICE is a better analogy. Brakes are just wasted as heat in all circumstances. Downshifting an ICE provides resistance to keep speed under control, and is vital here in CO if you don't want to overheat your brakes and have them fail. Unfortunately, a...

Software Spotlight Version 2022.27.02 -- Official Rivian Feature

In my experience coming down steep mountain roads, both on and off pavement, is that the range rarely increases. Even coming down Engineer Pass (as steep 4x4 road) without touching the brakes, I only gained a couple of % battery charge. What I do see regularly is going 5, 10, 15 miles without...

5 Tire Rotation, who's doing it?

I"m also planning on rotating all 5 every 5,000 miles or so. Does anybody know if this is a service that Rivian provides?

Rooftop tent storage solution for Rivian R1T

I've got one of these in my garage for power tool storage, and would love to get one for my RTT. Unfortunately, I can't find them anywhere. Do you have a lead?

    CO extends charging network

The Montrose charger was 125 kW, though I only got up to 85 in use even though there wasn't another EV charging. These were the chargers across from the Tesla SuperChargers. It'll be awesome if we eventually get access to those. The Rivian portable charger has 2 plugs, a standard 120v 15a...

    CO extends charging network

Didn't see any Waypoint chargers or signs to such in the park. I don't think they've built them out yet, just made the agreement to do so. I slept in the RTT at Ridgway on the way down. I didn't yet have an adapter for the 30a socket (that'll be delivered tomorrow) so I would have had to...

    CO extends charging network

All-purpose all the time. I'll occasionally go into sport mode for windy roads, but not on this trip. I've never used Conserve as the folks at my service center told me it chews through front tires, and for me that's not worth the marginal gain in range.

The black border is printed on. It's an option you can select when ordering. Printed bolts are another option, but I skipped those.

    CO extends charging network

Here's more info than you likely wanted, but might be useful to some. Keep in mind that my RTT sticks above roofline, and I've added an awning to the passenger side, and recovery boards to the driver's side, so my efficiency will likely be less than you'll get. Next trip the awning will be...
