Was shopping for recovery boards for incoming R1T, came to find that the MaxTrax have a 7500# weight limit while the ActionTrax doesn't have a weight limit.

Anyone running with these? Are the holes similar to MaxTrax for mounting? USA made, so has that going for it in my book too.

I went with the Exitrax Ultimate. They don't list a max weight, but have a lifetime warranty and were a reasonable price.

Everything has a weight limit. They just may not tell you what it is.

Rivian did choose to partner with MaxTrax for their branded boards.... Perhaps the Rivian-branded boards will be different than the non-branded ones? But either way, I consider it an endorsement of the brand, at least.

I agree there is an absolute weight limit for everything. From some vids, seems like the actiontrax have some rep for being good with heavyweight vehicles.

Yeah, the Rivian-branded Maxtrax are their $500/pair "extreme" line. Was hoping to spend a little less if possible...

Is that weight limit for the MKII or the Extreme version?
I've used MaxTrax for years and they've never failed me.

From what I can gather the mk2 has the weight limit (where it’s not that it won’t work, just that they won’t replace under warranty after they crack/break)

I bought some cheap ones on Amazon a few years back, that were supposed to be as good as Max tracks or whatever. They easily broke under my converted van which weighed about what my R1T does.

I personally have the ARB Tred Pro traction boards. The local shops had both the Maxtrax and the ARB. The sales person convinced me the Tred Pro was better because the teeth will stand up better to wheel spin and they will handle weight better. TBD if that is true or not because I thankfully haven't had to use them.
