Recovery rope thickness

After chatting with an F55 rep, I ordered the 7/8” x 30’ and returned the 1.5” x 30’.

I agree, so much thickness and length would require far more force, power to make the use of the ropes elasticity.

I was also just talking with Factory55 and he said the 7/8 rope is what they provide Rivian in their recovery packs. If I was ordering an off brand on Amazon I think I would go with a 1” though.

RhinoUSA is decent and usually less $ than Factor55. $180 vs $215 for the 30-footer.

Question: any reason not to get 20’ instead of the 30’? 30’ seem excessive.
