I had this issue at multiple Tesla chargers. Tried an EVGO scharger and had the same. My R1S would charge on my home charger but not a DC charger. I put in a service call and Rivian diagnosed a faulty charging unit in I’m 6 week old vehicle. They replaced it and now fine.
They diagnosed the problem remotely and had us bring the vehicle in on a Thursday, a few days after their remote diagnosis. By Tuesday it was done they apparently flew in the mechanic from elsewhere to do the repair.
