  1. SOLVED: my dash rattle found and fixed

My dash rattle seemed to be coming from just left of the steering wheel, but this was the culprit. You've restored my sanity, such as it was. Thanks so much for posting!
  2. Buy British Columbia Collision Comprehensive and New Vehicle Replacement Insurance at BCAA

I got nearly $900 back from ICBC today, and moved all the extended coverage to BCAA. The Replacement Plus coverage is $390 for the year, though I'm sure that will go up in the future. Like you, I didn't like the terms of the vehicle replacement coverage when I picked up the truck. Thanks so...
  3. Should the tie downs on the roof have the same rubber inserts as the truck bed?

Thanks for the update, Rivy. I guess that's why no-one responded to my service inquiry...
  4. Should the tie downs on the roof have the same rubber inserts as the truck bed?

Are you having some other issues looked at as well? An annoying thing to have to go back to Richmond for. Please do let me know how it turns out.
  5. Should the tie downs on the roof have the same rubber inserts as the truck bed?

I've had my R1T for a nearly a week and just noticed it's missing the insert on the roof as well. It looks like yours is a bit rusty under there. Have you reached out to service about this?
  6. Canadian Financing PSA

Thought I'd repost this. Hoping that someone with more experience can chime in. Is this what front-loading or precomputed interest looks like? The clause where I promise to repay the loan amount and interest for the full term has me alarmed and confused.
  7. Canadian delivery timeframe

    T. Apparently my truck is built and at the factory. Not sure if it will be shipped with BlixemT's and digdog's. I should get an update when it leaves the Normal.
  8. Canadian delivery timeframe

    December 2020
  9. Canadian delivery timeframe

No official guide contact yet, but got my 8 steps today and was surprised to see a VIN on the paperwork. Not sure what that means as I'm supposed to be May - June for delivery. It is rather exciting. :sun:
  10. Canadian delivery timeframe

    R1T.
  11. Canadian delivery timeframe

My Configuration page still says "Processing..." but I see May 1 to Jun 30 in the dev tools snoop. Formerly April to June, with a Dec 2020 reservation. I also got the "confirm your configuration" email from customer service yesterday, and the intro email from the guide team arrived right after...
  12. Vancouver Open House (Nov 19/20)

I meant to ask about progress (if any) on the adventure network for Canada, but forgot. Did any of you broach the subject?
  13. Vancouver Open House (Nov 19/20)

Plaid and puffy jacket is tech-guy camo. Ya gotta blend in. First time actually seeing the R1T. The thing is really impressive. My wife is a hundred percent in on it, so that's a huge win. I'd say it was a hugely succesful day for them, by the number of people there. Decided not to bug RJ but...
  14. Canadian delivery timeframe

That's a year and a half before me. You deserve to be in the first batch.
  15. Canadian delivery timeframe

Thanks for the info. It doesn't quell all my rage but it helps. Were you previously Dec-Jan as well? Can I ask when you placed your order? I called the local customer service line this aft and had a frustrating conversation. They guy said that the first Vancouver deliveries would be...
  16. Canadian delivery timeframe

Mine has been pushed from this Dec-Jan, to April-June of 23. Adventure, regular pack. I still had the powered tonneau selected and I'm curious if that is the cause for the delay. I changed the configuration to the manual cover just now. The email states that after making changes to your build...
  17. Why no Rivian TV commercials?

Years ago I read an article about car advertising where some corporate git mentioned that the magazine and tv spots were as much about preventing buyer's remorse in people who just bout car x as they were about selling more of car x. Are the numerous ads for F150s, Camrys and Civics responsible...
  18. ⛔️ Powered Tonneau cover removed from R1T production until further notice on all future deliveries

Apologies if this has been mentioned in the thread... If this manual version slides into the rails, does that mean you can't remove or open it without lowering the tailgate? So, when you have a bike rack on or you're parked in a tight garage, yer fucked? The manual cover sounds like it's...
  19. Anyone Found Snow Cable Chains (or Chain Links) For Their 21" Tires?

I'm going to suggest that the advice coming from flat Manitoba might not be what the mountain man who started this thread needs. I was surprised to see that Rivian states you can't use chains on the 20" AT's. Though I suspect you could get away with some non-aggressive ones with the suspension...
