Back to the OP's original question: Are you a Tesla owner getting the R2 as first Rivian? Y E S

Just wanted to mention that Rivian did an Outstanding job on their website reveal for the R2. Highly interactive, Rivian assist, comparisons, photos and videos leave little to the imagination. A virtual tour that covers virtually everything. Now all I need to do is test drive. Awesome.

According to Doug DeMuro, those silly wraps are purposely designed to distinguish these prototypes/ pre-production vehicles from the final production R2s. The wraps are shouting out loud, “not for sale.”

Tesla's model line-up used to spell out ' S 3 X Y' remember the 'SEXY' buttons? Now it's just E Y ....... EEEEEYYYYYYY :confused:

I also liked the part about the roof drains, not needing plumbing to inside the building, which saved on engineering and plumbing expenses. The factories I've worked all had roof drains brought inside, which then drain to the outside. When those drains freeze up on the roof, it's not a good day...

Hi all, I’m excited for the R2 and hope I can learn a few things from the experienced folks on this forum.

I really like this color, I had wanted the Lexus GX550 in Nori Green, but the wait time was ridiculous. I'll bet it's also a long wait with the R2.

Thank you for your excellent advice. I waited for HW4 on my Tesla, and I appreciate that my patience has been so worth it. Patience is a virtue!
