I'd imagine it has to be fused given it's the same wires used when the cigarette plug is installed. Seems like they would keep it the same. I'll have to see if I can figure that out though. If it's not I definitely need to add one.
I don't really have a need for the plug. I like the idea of it being built in. Also a lot of people talk about using the frunk for a refrigerator but because the radiator for the AC and battery cooling is directly on the other side of the tub it gets way too warm in there for those to run properly.
I just want it to wash dishes when I'm camping. So it's perfect for me. Also I think I heard there's going to be an upgraded pump created at some point? Don't quote me on that though as I don't really remember.
I picked up a brand new 12 gallon drunk water tank today. Details here.
My R1S didn't come with the frunk 12v outlet but as others have mentioned the harness that feeds the driver's side frunk light still had the 12v wires attached. A lot of people have been trying to find an after market plug...
If you're on an iphone and have air pods you can just put one in your ear and have it dictate to you. This way you only put it in your ear when you need it and you only need one in so you can still hear the road.
Tesla let's you use their autopilot features with a monthly fee. And you can sign up and cancel it as often as you want. So if you want it for a long trip, you activate it for that month then cancel. It's not the best but it's close to what you're asking for. I'm assuming Rivian will allow the same
I was playing around with the ChargePoint app and tried adding a Rivian to it. I think this is the first I've seen a Max Pack configuration for the R1S in writing before.
Given they have a partnership with Rivian I'd expect they'd only add configuration options that Rivian has confirmed with them?
My biggest concern with the both models is that they used a single piece for the entire side. Meaning if you mess up the rear quarter panel you may have to replace the entire side of the car.
