I have had this fixed 3 times now. The third being the service bulletin performed at a service center. The noise has returned each time within 2 months. It is not quite as bad as original (and everything does drive fine) so I have just been dealing with it now
I likely could, but in the past have always used dealerships and was asking if anyone had found a place that works well. I called a few places and they were all confused and I was not informed enough to help them as well.
I've also noticed that people with video game experience tend to have no issues driving and getting used to the regen pedal.
This is my first EV and I think it drives smoother than an ICE for accel and decel. I took my mom (who has bad motion sickness) and dad (who had ALS) for a ride and they...
My plan is to notify them and try to get an engineer to call me to talk. If there really is no failure chance I will likely deal with this version for a bit until I know they have a better solution or redesign. I know it is under warranty and will get corrected at some point, I just don't want a...
I had the creaking real bad and at service they replaced a bolt, added grease and torqued it all to the correct spec. That worked for about 2.5 weeks and 800 miles, but the creaking noise is now coming back which is annoying.
Make a service appointment. Known issue with a bolt on the front cv half shafts where it meets the wheel hub. New bolt, grease and correct torque has fixed it for me (for 1000 miles so far at least) and for many others with R1Ts. How long the fix lasts it up in the air. Maybe forever if it was...
For my hookup I used someone I have used for other electrical work and he was great. Luis from solutions electrical LLC. He did it for a little under 800.

They fixed mine yesterday and the sound is gone now. Finally feel ok dropping the kids off at school without the embarrassing creak ha.
I have a slight tick on and off throttle at low speeds similar to what you've said but I'm not too worried about that.
I also had them put in bolts in the...
I had that and mine was way worse. The service centers know what this is. It has to do with a bolt not being properly torqued where the CV front axle meets the wheel hub.
I had mine fixed (just today) and it sounds fine. Takes 45 minutes to fix both sides with grease a new bolt and a torque...
Yeah the ones I saw were new and off a train with some wrap still on portions. Definitely not in for service. I saw maybe 5 or so that could have been there for service, but the building is big and some were likely inside.
Just got back from Richmond. Sorry no pics, but I will say the Richmond SC is not currently customer facing ha. They did not really know what to do with me while I waited, but they were cool with it. I sat in a front room with a long table with a bunch of monitors while I worked.
They finishes...
Hey John, did you get a window for your R1S yet?
I'm taking my R1T up to the Richmond SC tomorrow to get the squeeky axle taken care of. I'll let people know how the center looks and goes (and maybe see some R1Ss in person)
I have this as well (maybe louder) and have 2500 miles. I actually have an appointment next Thursday at a service center and they said they know how to fix this as they have encountered it before. I have also seen other threads on here with the same noise and most have been addressed at SCs...
