    Replaced mine two weeks ago at tampa SC for $1820. Reimbursed fully by my insurance 3 days later. Pretty easy once I got my SC appointment.

  5. I'll say it... Driver+ getting worse, not better

    My Driver+ actually seems much improved. If you are receiving a lot of warnings about taking hold of the wheel, you may have a bad sensor. I just had my steering wheel replaced during a mobile service for this very problem. Now no issues.

    I had this problem. Adjustment of the hinge and sensor fixed this during a mobile service visit in my driveway.

    My 8 month old R1S just started admonishing me to "keep your hands on the wheel". This happens intermittently when driving at any speed, but it is constant when using cruise control. Also will not allow me to engage Driver + since the vehicle thinks I don't have my hands on the wheel...

    This was a promised update feature during an August, 2023 interview. Seems like it's taking an absurd amount of time. The last few updates have not impressed.

    Dramatically improved low speed handling and throttle response in Drive and Reverse. I'm impressed! Buttery smooth. Now if they would only deliver on the promised blind spot camera when using the turn signal.

    Where is the promised blind spot camera when the turn signal is activated? This was promised for last summer and has not yet materialized. Seems like an easy and much requested addition.

  17. Efficiency Has TANKED

    I think this may be the answer. I drove a Chevy Volt for years. Electric range would tank if the heater was ever used. Most Volt owners would avoid using cabin heat by using seat heaters and steering wheel heaters which were much less of a drain on the battery.

    I'm still waiting for the Tampa service center to open. Rivian gave me no insight as to timing other than "soon". I hope to be the first service appointment to replace my cracked windshield.

    You would be crazy to buy one with your distance from a service center.
