This was a promised update feature during an August, 2023 interview. Seems like it's taking an absurd amount of time. The last few updates have not impressed.
Dramatically improved low speed handling and throttle response in Drive and Reverse. I'm impressed! Buttery smooth.
Now if they would only deliver on the promised blind spot camera when using the turn signal.
Where is the promised blind spot camera when the turn signal is activated? This was promised for last summer and has not yet materialized. Seems like an easy and much requested addition.
I'm still waiting for the Tampa servic center to open to fix my cracked windshield. When I took the vehicle to local glass shops, I was told they do not have the ability to calibrate the Rivian windshield even if they were able to get the part. Looks like a Rivian service center is the only...
I think this may be the answer. I drove a Chevy Volt for years. Electric range would tank if the heater was ever used. Most Volt owners would avoid using cabin heat by using seat heaters and steering wheel heaters which were much less of a drain on the battery.
I'm still waiting for the Tampa service center to open. Rivian gave me no insight as to timing other than "soon".
I hope to be the first service appointment to replace my cracked windshield.
Thanks for the reply. I'm always curious about how folks feel regarding the ROI of PPF when they sell their vehicles. Seems like a big money loser if you sell within a few years. Could make sense if, like you, people keep it long term. Your Rivian was likely over $6k. That's a lot of money...
That looks great! Do you think you got your money's worth on the PPF you did on your Tesla? Did you sell after only three years or do you still own it?
Just cancel your reservation if you don't want the vehicle. The next person behind you in line will be able to get the R1S they have been waiting patiently for.
State Farm is jerking you around. If they truly valued you as a 20 year great customer, the would just add your middle name or initial to your policy.
Sure, Rivian could bend their rules, but they have no relationship with you.
I would dump my insurance company over something like this. You...
1. Pure EV.
2. Three rows.
3. It's a real truck with towing capacity. This is the one that sets the R1S apart from everyone else. A three row EV SUV with the ability to tow my waterski boat to the lake. No other EV currently available can do this. Please stop with the questions like...
Great pics!!
I ordered my R1S almost 3 years ago with the hope of using it to tow a small water ski boat. I got my Rivian 3 months ago and picked up the new to me boat last weekend. Towing was very easy and smooth.
