This is a good point/question. I've had to fully charge for a few long trips in my R1S recently. The reduced regeneration warning is for real. The braking from regen alone is significantly reduced. The R1S handles very differently fully charged.

I agree. To my eye, Canyon Red is a beautful glossy color. This looks dull and lifeless. To each his own, but $8k to dull a beautiful paint job seems crazy and wasteful.

This all begs the question of why are you painting the calipers? Was there an issue with the paint that is already on them? If so, would this be a warranty claim. Surely not painting them for some aesthetic reason. I cannot imagine.

Picked mine up 2 weeks ago and had the same thought. Took me 10 days of searching to find the odometers! Obviously not very intuitive. Should be an easy software fix if anyone at Rivian cares to address this.

Rivian offered me $14k for my 2017 Volt. I sold it to Carmax for $18k a few days later. Even the tax savings and convenience of trading it in at the time I picked up my R1S could not overcome this low ball offer.

You can return the vehicle if you don't like it. Do your own test drive.

Pretty sad to deliver a new car in that condition. No excuse for that. When I picked up my new R1S in the Orlando SC last week, it was spotless. There were also a lot of cars there with a very busy delivery schedule.
