This is what I ended up doing. I bought a 3rd brake light logic module from E-Trailer (https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Pacer-Performance/PP20-702.html) and used the included diodes on the wires from the left & right brake/turn signal wires. Tied to wires with Posi-Tap...
I finally got everything installed! I used a 3rd taillight logic module from E-Trailer - it includes a couple of diodes that seem to prevent any issues with losing Driver +. Light works great, with no apparent trailer issues!
Thanks! Looks like these are for jumping/charging the primary 12V battery. It also looks like there should be some electrical tape over the connectors - I better take care of that!
As I prepare to wire my camper top brake light into the trailer light wiring, I came across these "mystery wires".
Anybody know what these are for?
Thanks!
Yeah, that's the route I was attempting, but the wiring in the 2nd gen is apparently different. There is no black wire in that section of harness (there is a big multi-wire plug right behind the rear seat that may have the correct wires, but it looks like there are several green and black wires...
Hey Jeff - I bought one of these last year, and have loved it! However, I'm still looking for the best way to wire in the brake light (previous post shows instructions for an older R1T, and wiring harness has changed!).
Any guidance?
Hey folks!
I installed an Autofit Pro camper top on my 2025 (2nd gen) R1T last year. At the time I searched and found a posting on how to connect the brake light. It looked a bit involved, so I put it off. But now my state inspection is coming up, and I'm guessing they are gonna want to see a...
I asked to speak to a service manager, and told him that I wanted one. I asked if there was any reason why it wouldn't work. He said no, they just usually sell these for the R1S.
They wouldn't "install" it though! The mobile service tech just gave me the wheel and said I would have to install...
Just did my first 4 tire rotation on my R1T. Used my rolling jack, jack puck, and the factory jack. Worked fine!
I purchased a space saver spare, and thought about inflating it and doing a cross pattern rotation, but decided just to do a front to back rotation instead.
Easy peasy!!
I can't really explain about the cost (I just paid what they said I owed), but I'll try to find & post the receipt.
As far as the tire size, this is not an old style space saver "donut" spare. It is what I call an "origami" spare - the sidewalls are folded inward so that it is small, but when...
Hey Folks - Thanks for the great response to my tail light connection question!
Next question: Has anyone installed the tool tray in one of these? It appears I need to drill a bunch o' holes around the side window frame. Just want to make sure I don't make an irreversible screw up on this...
Hey Folks!
I just received my Autofitpro topper, and am currently in the process of assembly.
Has anyone determined the best way to wire up the tail light that comes with the topper? I reached out to Jeff, but he wasn't able to provide any recommendations.
I'm thinking either the wiring for the...
I purchased the tire accessory kit (with the tie down bolt) with my points before I bought the spare. Then I asked them to price just the space saver spare without the kit. It was $400 plus tax.
Yup, that's what I did (although the cost for the compact spare was only $421 with tax.) And since there was a mobile tech in my area, they delivered it and replaced my 12 V battery at the same time.
