Had Rivian replace my windshield after a rock hit, immediately after several different people have complained that they hear substantial wind noise from bluetooth calls from me at highway speeds, when at street speeds or at a stop it clears up, also if I switch to speaker phone the wind noise on...
Would love to know where this is in writing - definitely didn't apply to my truck. They barely wanted to fix a rubbing hood and I only got it under "warranty" because they had worked on my hood 5 times previous and it wasn't 12 months since the last time they touched it, but still was getting...
Could always wrap the car in a colorful vinyl or PPF nowadays?... bold colors don't sell in high enough volume - the market shifted the color palette not the manufacturers
Their service centers are a large part why I wouldn't buy Rivian again, until it gets fixed its a non-starter. Either create a vehicle that doesn't require such post-delivery repairs or provide a better experience, one of the two. Don't care about he excuses from the fanboys, if you're offended...
I would not buy my truck again at today's prices .... firmly believe the old pricing was pretty solid, but now can't justify 6 figures for the number of issues my truck has had and the lack of customer service in dealing with those issues from Rivian.
Just to wrap this up - it was a damaged cable from when they had to take apart my front bumper for another issue that was damaged that they caught but didn't catch when first doing the work. No issues since it was replaced.
I've had a lot of warranty issues besides the motor/battery. Essentially anything electronic not related to the motor Rivian could make a claim its not their problem any longer - and on the off hand, they could say that taking apart the interior of the car could effect the "electronics" and hand...
Oddly - the cameras work in "live view" via the app and with the gear guard catching mov't. So can't say its a wiring issue itself with the cameras but rather how it interacts with the infotainment system. SC guys haven't seen this one, lucky me.
Yeah I could have been more technical with the poll - if I had to completely guess - i'd say the "newer" the car the less time its been at Rivian as a general rule, but some replies here have definitely contradicted that assessment. We could even further stratify it with location/SCs... it does...
This looks like its becoming the norm unfortunately. I feel pretty much the same as you do. The truck was a good deal pre-price increase - but at current price levels I could never recommend to anyone that it's worth it, there's nothing like buying a $100k vehicle and turn around and have to...
In all purpose mode in an R1T quad gen1 - i'm beating 4.5s all day. Lowering, stiffening are the only differences I've seen in "sport mode" vs "all purpose" - although it looks like that could change.
I've had my truck just less than 3 years, taking delivery Aug of 2022. I have ~30k miles on it now, but have just added up the amount of days its been at Rivian. Currently my truck is again at Rivian -> its been there for 85 days and counting in less than 3 years in total. People on this forum...
Why is it important? 2.9 vs 3.3 is not a big difference unless you're timing your 0-60s and need bragging rights. The quad motor an the tri-motor are FAST - you will feel it in your bones and your passengers will scream.
