I am lucky only 15 minutes from a service center but I wouldn't give up 3 hours for this service repair. just get the old adhesive off the trim and the vehicle metal and apply a good automatic adhesive..3M makes an automotive double sided adhesive available on Amazon that I used on my Porsche...

Mine has been replaced twice. It is best to have it done at the Rivian Service center rather than the mobile service as they need to get all of the adhesive off the vehicle an replace with a new strip and adhesive.....takes about an hour and can be done while you are waiting.
