Maybe I’m just lucky, but I got charged a $5.00 session fee and $0.25/kWh yesterday at the RAN chargers in Westcliffe, CO. The session fee seemed a bit unreasonable since the charger was a slow one. I got just under 13kWh in 68 minutes so the session fee was the majority of my charge.

An update a while back seemed to help, but when backing up the accelerator still doesn’t feel right to me either. I’d best describe it as a dead spot on top followed by too big of a jump in speed.

Ah, thanks for bringing me up to speed. That is really too bad. I completely agree that a Valet mode limiting the car to about 50 hp, 20 mph, no stereo, and no Gear Guard/Incident editing capability would be an ideal solution.

Apologies if this was already covered: have you tried to recover the deleted video(s)? It won’t work if that part of the memory was subsequently overwritten, but I’ve had luck with various apps in the past that purport to recover deleted files from hard disks and SSDs (I think).

I’m overdue to report back. Mobile service stopped by on Friday. Super nice guy with a very well equipped van. (Not a Rivian van yet, it he said those were coming.) Anyhow, he plugged in his laptop and ran a procedure for perhaps 15 minutes. After that, driver memory appears to work perfectly.

I’d been the same thing. The service center guy on the phone sounded a bit frustrated I’d been told that. I suspect there was confusion between, “will prevent it from reoccurring” and “will resolve the current issue” and someone just translated that to, “will fix it”.

I have a mobile service appointment tomorrow to fix this. The scheduler told me the latest update should prevent this issue from popping up again after a reset or future update, but that anyone with the issue now will need a tech to do the quick re-calibration procedure in order to get it...

Thank you for the update, that is great news. I am not yet familiar with the numbering scheme and figured if we were on 10.something now that 14 was likely to come in 2029 along with support for the R4H hoverboat.
