Aftermarket TPMS

I purchased after market TPMS to use in a winter wheel set up. The seller TPMS.com says they are alredy programmed for the Rivian. The tire shop installed them and activated them yet after hundreds of miles my R1T still does not recognize them. TPMS.com told me to contact Rivian. I sent an email several days ago to customer support but so far no response. Does anyone know if there is a manual way to force the R1T to relearn and recognize the TPMS?

We purchased aftermarket TPMS from Amazon for out winter wheel set up. They registered after about a mile or two of driving. No settings or anything to adjust / change on the Rivian. My guess is the TPMS they sent you was programmed incorrectly.

I'd love to know if anyone else has experience with this. I ordered a set of the BHsens IntelliSens RDE232V26 TPMS sensors Robotpedlr linked above. Amazon sent three sensors and one box with just the accessories (no sensor). Of course I didn't check, so the tire shop mounted three sensors and told me to come back with the fourth when I recieved it. In the few weeks since the initial install, my R1S has failed to register any of the three that were installed. The shop did no registration/programming to the truck or sensors, as I was under the impression none was needed. Did I miss something?

I bought and mounted the same sensors without any issue - the R1S relearned them after driving for few minutes. Yours should have learned the sensors if they are functioning or programmed correctly.

I would have gone back to the tire shop and have them scan (they can even reprogram) the sensors to see if they are indeed working.

Some sensors stay dormant, but you can “wake” them up by deflating (say minus 5 PSI) and inflating back to spec (recommended cold tire pressure if starting cold), then drive to relearn. See if that “wake up” the 3 sensors.

Update: I spoke with tech support at Huf, manufacturer of the TPMS sensors. The guy was fantastic and said my issue was that I’d been running an incomplete set. The system is looking for 4 sensors and doesn’t return values for just 3 new sensors. My appt came up the next day at the tire shop, and within a few miles of getting the 4th sensor installed, all four were reporting as expected.
