That’s what I have set up and works without a hitch. I still use the native nav when searching for Tesla Supercharger but haven’t had any issues. Able to use Siri to text. You can read my setup in the signature and there are plenty of threads on this.
One way to make more room (though I’m only 6’1) is to angle the seat cushion all the way back and straighten the seat back a bit more, and push the steering wheel as forward as possible. That helps when my 5’10 son sits behind me.
Ha ha, did the plastic tiles instead of epoxy paint when we moved in 4 years ago. Best decision ever, looks finished, does not fade and will probably last another 15 years.
Installed and Live view is pretty cool. 4 angles front, back, left and right. It’s at home in the garage and it’s set to be off but it can be woken up remotely.
Make sure it shows as “Adapter needed” compatible charger of 250kW. The icon is lit up in the Rivian App and not grayed out.
I had gotten the same issue/error because I went to a station that was not 250kW which won’t work.
Agreed that it's great for Supercharger compatibility. The few times I've used it, I always have to use the two end units so I don't block any Teslas. Not an issue when the chargers are mostly empty but will increasingly become an issue when there are more cars that need charging.
However, we...
I got the A2Z and drove from NJ to VA and back. Seemless charge at superchargers and can’t beat the space in the trunk/frunk/3rd row compared with a 4 door sedan. No brainer for me. We loved our trip and will continue to do so. Other than the occasional cruise control, I prefer to drive myself...
It should be. The CarPlay unit requires a decent amount of juice so the FuseTap definitely provides a decent amount compared with the other USB-C outlets in the car.
I found in the manual that all 12V are activated by ignition. I assume that’s correct?
So I may have found my answer. I think it’s correct that the 110V requires turning on from settings.
Wow, I didn’t even know there are dual horn ones. Really interesting given I believe all the new ones have passenger side.
I thought the main install video was quite good already and I just needed to add the passenger supplemental one. I suppose I could have done a full install video but would...
There have been many threads about the @RealWheelsEV Horn Upgrade. The horn can be purchased here.
Attached are some real good instructions that go with it in addition to the video on the RealWheelsEV website.
Here's the before:
Here's the after:
The instructions recommend two people to...
I got the motor fault error and had it in the shop. They replaced a motor drive sensor and haven’t had an issue since. Annoying and scary that it would stall at any point when I had the issue. Hard reboot would clear it as well until they replaced the sensor.
I also think it’s for visibility. The Ioniq 5 also has the problem where the steering wheel impedes the screen. Though I agree round steering wheels are still better for steering.
I wish even with the R1S, that the front wheels would be pushed a bit further up to free up cabin space. The cabin I use everyday, but the frunk every once in a while. I think the comment on the R3 in the review is the same. The magic of the Ioniq 5 is that the wheels are pushed to the edges...
