Hoping I’m overlooking an obvious tire out there, reading on here and Reddit about common 20” options, but all have cons I don’t love….so looking for the following:
-20” (Gen1 R1S with OEM AT setup currently)
-quieter/smoother than OEM Scorpions
-look better than the Defender M/S2 (they’re...
...and to clarify it isn't a matter of saying "hey I do or don't like my Rivian" but rather "they tried to give me a faulty/below avg quality vehicle and I had to say no I'll wait for the next one"
Getting my R1S next week and was just looking over the inspection checklists people have put together. Got me thinking....
For those of you who had the opportunity to get your vehicles, how many of you ended up refusing delivery due to noticing quality control issues with misaligned panels, bad...
I changed my R1S config to add the underbody shield and XPEL, and changed to the 20" offroad wheels (instead of the 22") and I went from a "H1 2024" delivery to being told I could get it in 6 weeks  I was a Nov 2021 reservation btw.
Don't have our R1S yet, but have a Model 3 and Mach-E (which we got after our Model 3) and I definitely noticed much more pedal travel vs the Model 3. I had the same question about pedal travel distance relative to other cars (especially in EVs given the more instant torque) as the two EVs we...
Sorry, as this has probably been asked already(?) but I wasn't finding it in any of the threads when I searched...
So... I have a pre-Mar 2022 order for a R1S, so I'm locked into the old pricing. Currently I have the 22" wheels selected in my configurator, but now I've seen a handful of Rivians...
Yeah I've seen several iKamper 3.0 minis mounted on RT1s on YouTube, but I haven't actually seen a 3.0 specifically (not the mini) on a R1S roof, either pictures or video. More just curious to see how big it looks on top. But good to hear mounting to the Rivian crossbars work fine.
Curious if anyone has put an iKamper 3.0 on their R1S yet and 1) which roof rack/bars did you end up using and 2) do you have pictures? Bonus points if you attached an awning as well.
Thanks!
Whats the charge rate you're currently avg at home with your Rivian (miles per hour charged I mean)?
And yeah I had similar thoughts this past year when I got a Model 3 and then switched to a Mach-E, and how I should future proof if possible, but I gave up trying and just went for a 48 amp...
Official Rivian social media accounts. And again they didn't mention specifics on price/cost adjustment if you make a change now, so people very well may lose locked in pricing, we don't know.
One of the points of the announcement today was that they said they will reaching out existing reservation holders on how to update your configuration if desired for the Dual/Max , but they didn't give specifics on timing or cost.
Right, I'm assuming some sort of proration to account for price-locked people, and not defaulting any configuration changes they make to current pricing. Otherwise they can't expect very many pre-locks to be incentivized to make the switch to dual/max.
Yep. Based on R1T pricing right now on their website configurator, I think the difference between Quad/Large and Dual/Max is $2K more. Assuming that stays about the same for the R1S, they might be successful in switching a of people.
For me I'm a locked quad holder due in H1 2024..,. with...
They mentioned having better predictability with suppliers (with shortages). So they might already know now certain parts and components will constrain them in the coming year, and 50k is as high as they're ever going to get in the foreseeable future even with extra shifts/increased efficiencies...
For real? Ugh none of this makes any sesne. They need to provide SOME kind of explaination on their logic to help make sense of how they're assigning dates.
Damn I reserved the same month with what looks like the same config except for white paint... And mine just says "2024" ? (in Seattle area...but seems like I've seen lots of deliveries around here so don't know how much that matters vs Georgia)
Oh weird, I totally missed my initial email. Apparently I have 2 days lefts still(?) according the follow up they sent... so yeah, pretty telling. Way too steep of a non-refundable price point with so little details.
Anyone remember or have stats on the number of reservations Rivian got when...
Normally I would agree. But once I get mine, I think it'll be the only time I've ever considered doing it. The giant RIVIAN on the back is too much IMO.
