Had my test drive this morning. I was very impressed with how much they were able to maintain of the r1 luxury for cheaper. Many of the interior materials I preferred vs my r1. (like getting rid of chrome accents, and I liked the textile they used).
Agree with most everything. My highlights:
The...
Yeah...I could have sworn I saw at one point a rivian colors purchase percentage chart...but can't find it now. All of the "fun" colors are by far at the bottom, which is why they discontinued the yellow, and from what I read limestone already got axed and I think canyon red is discontinued for...
Fortunately, I'm not noticing undue wear due to camber, but I'm also treating my Gen1 r1t in a way to avoid the camber issue. As in, I've been warned to only use "low" ride height and conserve mode on the freeway where you are not doing a lot of braking or doing tight turning (like you would on...
Have gen2s gotten rid of the issue where there is a camber issue in lowest/low ride height? In gen1 quad...I'm under the impression that you only ever want to be in conserve mode low ride height when not doing a lot of braking or making aggressive turns (basically, more or less constant highway...
I'm just glad that the bug where the next turn was way too zoomed in from the last update is now fixed. I also appreciate the new search area where home/work is always present, and....that when you click on the search area, it brings up the keyboard immediately. Before..you had to click the...
I did the 12" of thin cordage...basically like a shoestring, just shoved in with a plastic tool (very easy) and......it sounds like its completely fixed (fingers crossed).
Edit: ok, maybe not completely fixed...not sure if there is a fix that is going to be 100%.
Rivian had setting a cruise control based on current speed limit in for like....2 weeks then removed it. I want that back, plus an option to have it be an offset higher (prefer fixed but would take % based like current teslas). PLUS...get rid of the need to tap accelerator to continue cruise...
I should mention...besides tire wear, the other problem with sport mode is that the suspension is harsher at low, and...I just think the rivian looks better lifted up higher too. Yes, I am aware that suspension lowers automatically at highway speeds, which is fine. I'm just talking about driving...
I would love to keep it in sport mode all the time.....but you are forced into low or lowest suspension and I would rather not have the tire wear due to the camber issues. If they allowed the normal ride height, I would keep it in sport. After all, I paid for the extra speed/capacility of quad...
Yeah, I've learned that now. What I really want to know now, which I posted there, is the 0-60 times in AP mode across all verisons. If its the same acceleration in AP between dual/tri/quad then....would just get the dual in the future since I'm in AP almost all the time (I only use sport to...
Ok, I would be willing to ship, though shipping cost, including creating boxes by the UPS store (if they could do it) would be at purchasers expense. If you are still interested, let me know.
I think you are right for sure. I think you wrote somewhere else too that you also wish Rivian (or someone) would post the 0-60 times in AP mode for each version too. I'm sure Rivian wouldn't do it if its truly 4.5s 0-60 for all versions.....then more people would make the conclusion that the...
I for one prefer the more cupholders vs the cubby....I don't think my family even knows the armrest flips up and has a usb-c there. Though...yes...would prefer nothing there instead for more width (if possible because of the wheel well).
Glad I read this thread....lots to think about. I have a gen1 quad r1t...I wonder what the 0-60 is in all purpose mode. Tried internet search and couldn't find it for the gen1 quad.
If its around 4.5seconds...its still plenty fast...definitely fast enough. My Model Y performance...only has 1...
Sorry forgot to post. Yeah, just empty lot right now.
Though would make more sense not to create a new parking lot and instead put it in the bank parking lot or something right next to this lot?
I recently switched from an R1S to an R1T and took off these rock sliders before selling.
These are not only awesome steps that my wife/kids use, but are also heavy duty rock sliders to protect the car!
Now you don't have to use kneel mode with the step, plus, these are strong enough to jack...
Good points about permits...I shouldn't give Rivian too hard a time, and good news about hailey ran site (there is a single DCFC charger in Hailey right now that I'll be using next week which hopefully works when I'm there!). It still means I have to drive the long way round from Boise to...
