  1. RAN Rivian Charging Stations Locations Map via Google Maps

Not sure if this is old news, but Bellingham WA is appearing in the app as live now!
  2. Mexico, anyone?

Still walking back after running out of battery in Mexico
  3. Looking for places to visit on Oregon Coast

I second Depoe Bay. Second favorite place after Cannon beach! Whale cove a couple of miles south from Depoe Bay is a beautiful park, and you can very often see whales from there. There are some resident whales. Pacific city is very cool. Stop at the Otter crest view point and visit the devils...
  4. Rivian RCV electric ambulance "vanbulance" made for Grey's Anatomy

I would only allow them to take me in that ambulance if it comes with the meridian audio system!
  5. Meridian audio

Main reason why I haven’t upgraded to G2. We are changing my wife’s S to G2 within the next week or two, but hers came with the in house speakers already.
  6. Door Handles Closing on your Hand

This has been happening to me ever since the latest update. I bring my son to school, come out and take his instrument out of the bed of the truck, return to the drivers door, reach for the handle and “hoot” goes the f*ing owl! With me holding the handle like an idiot. I have to pull my phone...
  7. Apple CarPlay coming to rival Tesla

    That’s a nice update!
  8. Another damn bug? No auto-lock after leaving the truck open for a while

I know you won’t find this helpful, but my T has been buggy as hell since the last update. The drivers side back door randomly stopped present its handle, and then when I opened from inside, it stopped locking when the other 3 doors would lock. I’ve had to reset the car twice. Also, on occasions...
  9. Apple CarPlay coming to rival Tesla

It’s unlikely I’ll use CP. I had it in previous cars and hardly ever used it, but we have to admit, when you purchase a $100,000 car, you really should expect to have the option to use CP if that is what you wish, when much cheaper cars have it available. Allowing CP should not change the...
  10. National Parks - those that impressed you unexpectedly

Capitol reef has to be my favorite! Such an amazing place!
  11. Meridian vs. Premium Audio: an objective comparison

Same here. My T has Meridian and I can say I’m content with it (still lacking to my taste), but my wife’s S has the elevation system and it just sounds dull. Yes, I appreciate the Spatial Audio, but I feel there’s no depth and the sound is not as clear.
  12. The 2 things that will keep me from upgrading from OG Gen 1

Fully agree with your 1st point. That is the most me thing that keeps me from upgrading. I do think that there is a lot of subjectivity in the quality of the sound system, as it seems like there a lot of people, perhaps the majority, who are happy with the in house sound system. I really do...
  13. Rivian software to run Audi's EV lineup starting 2028

Thanks! My concern with this would be that it could cause problems later on if an update is released that would affect the sound system.
  14. Rivian software to run Audi's EV lineup starting 2028

I suppose sound quality could be subjective. I would say my meridian system is decent, but not as sharp as the B&O used to be (in my own terms, the high hits sound sh-sh, instead of ts-ts, how it should be). I would qualify my wife’s in house system as poor though. Were you plugging your phone...
  15. Rivian software to run Audi's EV lineup starting 2028

This is great news! Can we have Audi take over Rivian's sound system? That is really the only thing I miss from my previous vehicle. I've never had a better sound system that the B&O I had in my prestige SQ5 that I sold after getting my Rivian. Rivian, if you are listening. I was planning on...
  16. Red Canyon Color Back for 2026 Rivian

There are currently 1 R1S and 1 R1T quads available in the shop (at least in the PNW area)
  17. Yellowstone travel/charging advice

If you happen to go to the mammoth hot springs area, there are two L2 chargers at the hotel, and one other at the parking of a center that I really can’t recall what it is, but it would be on the right side of the road if traveling east towards the Lamar valley. It’s a clipper creek charger...
  18. Yellowstone travel/charging advice

I certainly don’t want to discourage you. In fact, I have seen several teslas around, including a cybertruck charging at the RAN in Gardiner. We have been driving a lot. The distances are not as bad, so maybe you’ll be fine, but even after almost 3 years of having my truck, I’m one of those...
  19. Yellowstone travel/charging advice

I’m currently in Yellowstone, but due to the lack of charging options, decided to fly into Jackson, spend some time in grand Teton, and we’ll be leaving from Bozeman. I’ve been looking around and, at least the way we are managing the trip, I cannot see a way to do everything we have done here if...
