I was sitting in my Model 3 and the ferry was going to dock in Tswassen, BC in about 45 min. Suddenly the PTC heater shorted and it quickly drained my 12V battery. There was no warning signs, I heard a loud pop and then I had all the error codes displayed. The 3 was now an immobile vehicle and I...
I am secretly hoping for an R1T with a NACS connector, a heat pump, no air suspension, and no glass roof. This will certainly reduce complexity, parts, etc and Rivian could offer a cheaper R1T to spur demand and spark sales again.
Fingers crossed for a new refreshed R1T with NACS, heat pump, a...
thanks for the update…looks like this only applies to those who had a Max Pack quad motor configured, and they were advised that Max Pack quad motor would no longer be made. Although this was tough news it was great to see a price reduction for the dual motor max pack R1T
Can you please confirm...
Agree with R1Maybe
Would be awesome if dual motor R1T / R1S are priced very attractively for price locked customers and make it a no brainer for purchase. R1T quad motor is ready to go and new customers may get their truck s00ner….let’s hope the Enduro motors are also ready to go!
If you had the chance to drive / ride in the R1T, and compare to your R1S…which vehicle is quieter at slow speed, regular speed, and highway speeds?
how happy are you with the quality of the sound system? If you had the chance to drive / ride in the R1T, can you compare it to the R1S?
does...
yes…leave it open and wait for an aftermarket solution
there was mention of the peragon tonneau over on the F-150⚡️forum

www.peragon.com
looks pretty cool…hopefully Peragon will consider making one for the R1T
glad that you were able to remedy your situation
it would be great if Rivian would allow Launch Edition R1T’s to be delivered minus the powered tonneau, and to allow us to have the manual tonneau or no tonneau instead.
agreed, Canadian deliveries may likely get pushed back who knows how long. I had a July - Sept 2022 delivery window but have heard nothing since. Wonder when the Rivian Service Center will be built in Vancouver. I saw an R1T today in Richmond, BC, likely an employee vehicle.
Just heard from Rivian Customer Service, and they stated that “it looks like your Yakima Skybox should fit in either position on the R1T, on the roof or on the bed.”
I have the Yakima Skybox 16, great roof box to carry our skis, poles, boots, inflatable SUP, etc, we use the box for our other...
which Yakima box do you have? Would be great if an R1T owner could post a picture with their Yakima box over the bed and over the cab with the crossbars
BigE, Rivian Customer Service told me: 8532 lbs or 3870 kg but they did not say whether with off road pack or without off road pack.
I also asked Rivian Customer Service about payload and their reply:
“The max payload for the R1T is 1,764 lbs. However, I don't have information about what it is...
When looking at the front of the R1T, there is a sticker on the top left hand corner of the windshield. It said something like “approved or licensed to use in Canada” or something, I cannot remember. Maybe the R1T is for testing in Canada which makes me think it is a Rivian Canada employee’s truck.
yes…BC license plates started with 2 letters. I asked the lady where I get my car insurance from and the R1T at 8532 lbs (I got that # from Rivian Customer Service) will require commercial truck plates…
