  4. How to Max out the acceleration bar?

Launch performance sureā€¦but at higher speeds when youā€™re not traction limited, donā€™t see why that would affect the motors from making full power
  5. How to Max out the acceleration bar?

Hello there! So i noticed something a bit odd with my R1T quad...when flooring in All Purpose or in Sport, even with a full battery, i can't ever max out the acceleration bar on the right side of the speedo. It goes up to like 90% at most. Is that expected? Wondering if i'm missing some kind of...
  6. 2024.11.2 Software Update Released! => Release Notes: Send Navigation, Mapping, Charging Feedback/Scores + Rear Display Improvements + More

Ford has live access to EA because they have a charging deal with them. EA needs to make their api available publicly so rivian, PlugShare, etcā€¦ can use it
  7. How to get best charging speed/rate/throughput at home?

right. 11.5kw is the fastest you can get for charging at home but requires a new breaker and hardwired installation and a new charger (most expensive) 9.6kw can be obtained by switching to a different mobile charging cable that goes up 40 amps (less expensive) 7kw with Tesla mobile charging...
  8. California Swap my 20” grey AT for your black 22s

Thanks! I think with shipping this would probably be cost prohibitive
  9. MidnightRivian's R1S Tesla Charger test session hitting speeds @ 217 kW using A2Z adapter / plug and charge feature

usually what Iā€™ve seen is if you plug in at low SOC say 10% you will get 217kw sustained up to like 40% before it starts to dip, and this is because the battery takes in a lot of heat so it starts to taper early. But if you start with a preconditioned battery at 40% you might get 217kw until...

I had a post-March R1S preorder. I wouldnā€™t mind getting pre-March pricing voucher. Or am i misunderstanding this thread? Lol

Thereā€™s a hack for ending curb rash. Get the 20s šŸ˜‚ I just swipe my tires against the curb on purpose to find where they are. Not a single rash in 2 years

  13. R1T ranked above Cybertruck and Lightning in real-world comparison test (Motortrend 3/18/24 review)

Dual motor cars have automatic conserve, you don't have to engage it. It will automatically disengage the rear motor when not needed
  14. Video: Tesla supercharging pricing / cost shows on both R1 screens while charging

Does anyone know if Rivian has lowered the charge curve recently? I've seen 200kw right up to 50% in the past, but looks like this tapers off 200kw after 40%
  15. Demo Rivians Now for Sale

Is it correct that there are no R1S demos anymore?
  16. Back-and-forth between R1T (quad-motor) vs. Cybertruck (tri-motor)

If you plan to use it for outdoorsy/traveling i think the rivian is better, due to better range, better charging infrastructure (now at least), and better suspension with the ability to simulate disconnecting of swaybars etc...the Cybertruck is a street truck. You want to use it as a family car...
  17. R1T ranked above Cybertruck and Lightning in real-world comparison test (Motortrend 3/18/24 review)

I don't think the EV9 looks thaaat bad. I've seen a few in person. Also they start at like $63k for the dual motor? R1S starts at $75k for standard range dual motor (not even shipping yet). If you want an R1S TODAY, minimum $85k. And on top of that, the EV9s are being discounted by $3-$5k from...
  18. R1T ranked above Cybertruck and Lightning in real-world comparison test (Motortrend 3/18/24 review)

Yea I mean my total 100% range in conserve. I usually average about 2.4 miles/kw in conserve at 70mph which adds up to about 310 miles with a 130kwh battery
  19. Cybertruck Thoughts

Agreed. My spot was around 50,000 for cybertruck, and I just got the email to configure last week. Thereā€™s no way they got 50,000 buyers already, Iā€™m guessing a lot of people are passing. Waiting for cheaper version, or cancelling.
