OP I too have this exact setup (R1S with a ‘21 Mean Bean Trailer). I’ve found my range cut about in half when towing (driving to elevation and back down). Interested to hear how you’re able to improve your efficiency.

Just referenced the manual again and unless I’m seeing it wrong, the “telltale” for reduced regen is on the “power display” which only shows on the driver display not the center. Again, I might be wrong.

I’ve had my R1S for a couple of weeks now and love it. I live in an area with a lot of hills so I really utilize one pedal driving and I rely on regen braking…a lot! It does a great job of slowing down the vehicle and I give enough following distance to let it do its job taking into account...

This cable care is a real issue. Also making sure the cable doesn’t hit the infrared detector.

I just drove by there today. If you live close-in to Portland it’s an awesome location. It’s also just off of the 5 for those in LO and Tualatin/Tigard. It’s just next to the RIB for those E/SE. If they can manage the encampments across the street under the bridge then it’s a great location.
