Tesla FSD Full Self Driving & Rivian ?

Because a nice car is more pleasant to ride in than a beater, and because I can't afford a chauffeur.

What mfr/product do you have, which is hazy?

Front windshield low quality (cracks easily)

In addition to the Stek Dynoflex that someone else mentioned, there is Exoshield GT3+ (which has a 3 year mfr's warranty): https://www.getexoshield.com/ P.S. I think the warranty, in both cases, is only for defects in the film (delamination, etc.), and does not cover physical damage to the film...

Windshield Replacement $4500, 2 Days, Closest Certified Repair Location 90 mins Away

FWIW, most people have reported paying about $1800 to have the windshield replaced and camera calibrated. They also generally report having to pay out of pocket, but that insurance quickly reimbursed. I have a lot of chips in mine, and a crack, but I haven't had it replaced, yet.

Front windshield low quality (cracks easily)

The website says, "This product is temporarily unavailable in North America." Same thing it said when I looked at their website last summer.

I looked at their website previously - it still says, "This product is temporarily unavailable in North America."

Vehicles in other lanes (even vehicles going the opposite direction) can kick up rocks, too. There is no following distance which will prevent all rock impacts. Better glass would be the biggest improvement Rivian could make, and would help keep insurance costs down.

Tesla FSD Full Self Driving & Rivian ?

Probably not worth the effort, if Rivian was the only company that Tesla made a deal with. But some company had to be the first (if Tesla is to make a deal). Not saying that it will be Rivian, but I would assume that Tesla will plan to license to multiple companies.

Rivian testing new Driver+ (Autonomy Experience Module) -- stops by the FCC

You use Driver+ all the time, but you don't know what it is. You seem to know what FSD is on Teslas, but don't know the tech in your own vehicle. I would guess that it is "Highway Assist" that you "never user." Highway Assist is actually only available on select (mapped) highways, and even on...

IR + Front windshield protection (Exoshield) ?

I looked at the exoshield warranty (they now have a product with a three year warranty). But be aware that it only covers defects in the product - delamination, etc. If you get a rock chip or a scratch (or other physical damage to the exoshield or to the glass), it isn't covered. And, as I read...

A Master at Work - Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) MAGIC on my R1T here in Colorado!

Would you like to advertise for him, either here, or in an Arizona specific forum (or FB page, or WhatsApp). I don't need his services now, but it'd be great to know, in case I have that need in the future.

Not allowed to speak with management? Say what?!!

I view the guide as the first level of management - your personal manager. My purchase experiences weren't always smooth, but my guides have been responsive and helpful. If your guide hasn't been good, then I sympathize. I don't know if it is possible to request a different guide, if yours...

Not allowed to speak with management? Say what?!!

I purchased my R1T 13 months ago. I qualified for the early pricing (which was something like $450 or $550) for the wall charger, but dropped that before the final purchase - because top-notch, less expensive options are available. I purchased one for $425 - special deal through the local...

Rivian offering free XPEL Stealth PPF wrap during factory shutdown!! $5K value

Reach out to XPEL to see if they have a recycle program. It'll probably compress into something the size of a basketball, when peeled off. Recycling these wraps ought to be a no-brainer for a company that is selling thousands, and shops that are doing hundreds. Meanwhile, I would guess that...

    State 48 Rivians

@Gcan Yeah, they'll probably continue to offer upgrades or other perks to boost sales at end-of-quarter, or other times. I think that Rivian is (or was) offering PPF now, as an incentive. But a free home charger isn't one of the standard amenities (which is why the OP didn't get one last August).

Ummm. Wait. 25 sheets x 5/8" would be (pulls up calculator app) nearly 16 feet thick. Your R1T bed must be bigger on the inside. Mine certainly couldn't do that. Edit: What was I thinking. (hint: whatever it was, it was wrong)
