Good riddance Alexa.
I never had any issues with Rivian Assistant since its roll out. I use it all the time to make phone calls, respond to text messages, navigation, and I even ask it random questions and even math conversions on accession and it usually response with the answer I was needing...
I assume the charing pad is as easy to lift up in R2 as it is in R1 vehicles. You could simply lift it up and unplug the connector if this is a big concern for you. Or create a small jumper using male and female molex connectors that are compatible to the charging pad and install an inline...
Mine is through XCare, but I have not had to use it yet. There are several members on this forum using XCare that appear to have had good results with covered issues.
OP sorry for your troubles. This is the reason I decided to pay for an extended warranty. $5k extended warranty to cover me until 100,000 miles is a bargain based on the post warranty out of pocket cost people appear to be experiencing.
Ad me to the list of early Gen1 R1T owners who have had little to no issues of concern. I am at 4 years 50,000 miles and still one the vehicle. I have had lots of service center visits, 13 in total. 2 of which were in 2022, 8 were in 2023, 1 in 24, 1 in 25, and 1 so far in 2026. All resolved...
Some sh!tty luck out there. Life happens and there is really not much you can do about it.
Most of my minor body dents are all self imposed by me or my kids.
I live in Florida and have had my R1T for just shy of 4 years. I live on a lake and go to the beach more times than I care to count. Sunscreen is a a way of life for my kids. In and out of the truck many times and have never seen anything like what the OP is experiencing. I have minor scratches...
CarPlay and Android Auto maybe important to people, but I'm sure more automakers will starting moving away from CarPlay and Android Auto because of the lack of control of your data. When you use content via CarPlay or Android Auto, the data you use while working in CarPlay or Android Auto...
I know people want full Autonomy, full self drive, etc.., but the technology will continue to be flawed and plagued by faults. Humans are faulty by nature, some more than others, so complex machines have the ability to eliminate lots of human error, but they will not be perfect 100% of the time...
I was just out of the country for 14 days with my Gen1 R1T unplugged in my garage and my SOC only dropped from 80% to 69%. Thats less than 1% per day. Something was keeping your truck awake. Maybe try exit/close the Rivian app on your phone to avoid unnecessary wakening from the phone app.
Unfortunately, most of us will find out about a SHTF event at the same time and will react in the same way with panic and fear. I will most likely spend that initial time shoring up / fortifying with my neighbors and spending whatever precious time we have with my family as we prepare for the...
@Pop, @mudito and I have pretty similar setups. I like the DC power supply in his thread to convert AC/DC. So I am picking up one of those to complement my setup. The power supply he uses has a higher DC output voltage range than the one I currently have (higher voltage, less current). I also...
If you have a decent inverter system with battery backup, with or without solar, etc.. installed at your home, this is a non issue. In today's world, load shifting and backup power should be at the front of your priority lists. You cannot control the grid or the cost of electricity. The cost of...
I have had a great experience from the very beginning. My 22 R1T is going on 4 years old with 47,500 miles. I live about 45 mins away from a service center and that was a big factor for me in choosing Rivian in the first place. I tempered my expectations because this was a new company, new...
I'll add my 2 cents.
I have the BFG KO3. Great tire if you are looking for an off-road worthy all terrain tire. I didn't really notice a huge hit in range, but I don't track that very often. I use the truck for what it was built to do and I am on construction sites several days out of the week...
