With any SHTF event, if you cannot bug out in the first 1-2 hours while in a major population area you need to plan to bug in, at least for a few days.
Let's make the assumption that you were quick to realize what was going on and also quick to react. Being that the R1[S/T] are great...
Maybe they are expecting enough people to be oblivious to Gen3 hardware that sales of R2 Gen2 hardware will still be sufficient. Most consumers do not research their next vehicle purchase.
Everything will work as normal. When the Comma 3X is plugged in it acts as a "man in the middle" When unplugged the Rivian ADAS will operate as normal.
There are several factors that can affect your charging speeds.
Battery temp
ambient temp (usually related to charger and cable temp)
available power at the site/stall
faulty charging stall

Typically, what worked for me in the past, is to tap on the offending vent to turn it off and then tap it again to turn it on. Most of the time it makes it so the vent will move again. Only a handful of times has it not been successful, but later it worked.
LOL. Pointing out issues with Rivian as a company is getting my knickers in a bind - hilarious.

I do believe it is essentially abandonware. I would love for...
When I am done building my house, I will buy a Tesla again. Unfortunately Scout is planning to use Rivian tech, but I will wait to see what/how they implement things; at this time the Scout will replace my Rivian.
Where did I say they are "most loyal?"
I have two Gen1s as well, they are the last Rivian products I'll ever buy. I canceled my R2 reservation a while back. I never said they had to update the suspension hardware, did I?
I would really like for people actually read what one types and not...
There are several factors as others have alluded to.
The most likely scenario is that the Insurance "scam" company believes the total cost to repair will be higher than 50% of the value of the vehicle. $21k is probably not enough to get the vehicle repaired and back on the road. At this time...
Wow google maps is significant.....
Updates to a UI are not significant. Glad you got an accessory mode, I am actually surprised Rivian didn't claim Gen 1 hardware couldn't support it. That seems to be par for the course.
So no improvements to Gen 1 are possible? Just like "tank turn", "launch...
