I bought mine for two use cases. Connecting at places without good cell/broadband and in my small plane. They torpedoed the small plane options.

They recently shut off in motion use for the standby plan. Amazing tech. I’m using it now. Prepare for plans to change every few months. Ask the guy general aviation crowd how it’s worked out.

Too easy not to plug in nightly. I don't have to think about it in the morning. Ditto. If I'm sitting in my warm house, and we decide to ski or go on some short fused road trip the next day, I pull out my phone and turn up to charge limit for the trip. No need to go out in my bunny slippers...

What did Tesla do with the Model S when the 3 hit the market? I see this as a comparable situation for Rivian.

I have both. Bought an A2Z and eventually got a free adapter from Rivian. I like the form factor of the A2Z better. I find it a bit easier to deal with. Both have worked fine.

Gen 1 Quad driver, 20" OEM Pirelli Scorpions. I have found on very slippery/icy roads high regen will cause the wheels to slip. Snow mode with reduced regen is my default on packed snow or black ice risk. Hard to gauge the range impact to lowest regen and snow mode as my winter driving is...
