That looks pretty neat! Is there any chance you have a video of someone opening/closing it? I'm not picturing what you mean about the ladder/lever concept, nor how much effort it would be to set up and take down solo.
Same thing for me: Saturday morning, I received the 12v alert in the truck and the app. Mobile service is scheduled for today, we'll see what they say...
It sounds like you got put in "assist jail" for not paying attention, so it shut off and won't let you re-enable for this drive. I believe there was a conversation about it here on the forums yesterday.
Out of curiosity, which Rivian are you interested in and what's your goal in a vehicle? The R1S (and certainly R1T!) are VERY different platforms from the Y and I personally wouldn't consider them very reasonable competitors by most metrics outside of "modern electric." If the R2, then you...
Maybe he meant "hardwire" as-in "solid mount and leave plugged into USB for power and stream audio via bluetooth" - in that case, it's totally possible!
Interestingly, I asked it yesterday "what's the temperature at the nearest Wendy's drive-thru?" (We don't have one near me and I can't remember the last time I had a Frosty 😢). It couldn't chain those two apps (nav & weather) to give me an answer, but if I asked each question independently as...
This is a different type of vehicle than most you're used to if you haven't had one from a "modern" manufacturer before (Tesla, Rivian....). Watch some of the videos out there (I know Tesla has training walkthroughs, I'm not sure if Rivian has the equivalent or if you'll need to go to YouTube)...
There used to be a charge indicator showing the speaker battery % on the dock screen, but they removed it in a firmware update a couple years ago. I can't fathom why, but I still miss it.
I wasn't going to start a separate thread, but it's related, so I'll jump in: this thread reminded me I was going to do the calibration to try to resolve the wind noise on my passenger side. When I did it (via RIDE), it popped up this message for a couple windows. No idea how to reset/fix it - I...
Just that there were still abnormal noises. It was extremely easy to reproduce (turn the wheel all the way left and drive forward or back), so they really dug into it to solve it. It has been in there for at least half a dozen visits for the same thing over the years - they'd replace the half...
Replacing my front drive unit (twice!) was the last step to solve all my creaks & squeaks. It's now actually quiet for the first time ever and it's awesome!
Another concurring data point: I use a Nissan-branded EVSE (I don't remember the actual manufacturer) that Nissan threw in with my first electric, a '15 Leaf, for daily charging of my '18 Model 3 and '22 R1T with no issues. The truck generally doesn't seem to care where the juice comes from...
