Right, and my point is that the EPA has them at roughly equal range rating with very similar battery sizes, so they aren’t significantly different and this video leads people like yourself to believe the R1T is significantly more efficient.
The big disparity in efficiency could be due to driving styles and the R1T has a longer rated EPA range than the Platinum F150. His previous video about cargo space was a bit biased toward the R1T as well, so I think he might be playing favorites as this is the lowest reported efficiency for the...
The only Rivians being delivered currently are quad motor, Adventure or Launch Edition trim, and Large Battery pack. Dual motor is currently in testing, and no updates yet on Explore trim and other battery size options.
Good questions. There's about a $10k dealer ADM on the mannequin, but that's before the recent price increase. The biggest difference was the V2H capability of the Ford. I love the look and off-road/sporty utility of the Rivian, but it would be far less used than the back up generator...
I just saw some questions surrounding liability of a “binding purchase agreement” and thought this might help some people who still have questions.
So I cancelled my reservation from April this year after a brief chat with CS. I was offered a great deal at my local Ford dealer on an F150 Lightning mannequin to reserve until January. Long story short, if you cancel your deposit after signing the recent Buyer’s Agreement then you are refunded...
You would think that Rivian honoring pre-March prices for what now looks like 2 years of deliveries would buy them a little trust regarding what seems to be a gift with this purchase agreement. They can’t force you to buy a truck no more than Twitter could force Elon Musk to buy their company...
Questions that could’ve been asked:
1. What specific parts/products are causing the most supply chain issues?
2. Does it actually help to change your configuration to a “more common“ one?
3. Explore trim?
4. Max/Standard pack?
5. Dual motor?
6. Clarification on the “Binding purchase...
I don’t know if someone else answered your question, but the language indicates that your PDF copy is to be printed out and kept with your records in case you are audited. They hold the original digital copy and you are good to file for the tax credit.
I wonder how many Rivian reservations also had F150 Lightning reservations and may cancel if their F150 comes in first? Might clear up the back half of reservations and lead to a sooner Max Pack delivery timeline.
Much happier with my Rivian reservation after this nonsense. The XLT ER pricing strategy to exclude it from the new EV tax rebate is the most puzzling part to me. I’ll expect a conversation rate in the low 30% next year, when they can actually deliver these trucks.
I mean, the hardware is already capable and third party companies will have CCS solutions soon(tm), so it should mostly be about the software, right? That’s where Rivian should actually have an advantage over Ford.
Has anyone heard anything about bidirectional charging or using the R1T as a generator lately? F150 Lightnings are starting to go out, and given that they are already offering this as a feature I was curious if RJ has mentioned anything more about it. It is hurricane season, after all (?) and...
