The comma harness will supply power itself to the comma 4 from the axm connection. No need for other power. However, we've found that in some cases, people were having random vehicle errors and actually disconnecting the axm power from the harness (requires modifying the harness) actually...
Angle control will be the way in the future as the driving models get better. For now, torque, especially with the Adventure Pilot build is great compared to where we started early last year. Adding the long adapter provides a key component that I feel is a safety item worth it in and off...
I'm starting this thread as a place for Rivian Comma users that currently have the longitudinal adapter/harness and are moving up to the new Extreme Dev Kit and want to sell their harness/adapter set up.
Due to the two different models, please be sure to list which harness the longitudinal...
I tow frequently (2-3x's week) and always laugh at the range estimates. I've felt like it is similar to the 15min efficiency graph in that it bases it on the last bit of driving with that trailer profile, not the entire history.
It was a Rivian fleet vehicle, so yeah, they weren't very happy. I went to schedule a lunch and learn event with the SC and invite the local fire marshals, but the fire marshal involved was no longer working here and the others insisted it wasn't necessary.
The whole thing was rather shocking...
That's the one they used to sell on the rivianservicetools website. They've since removed it for some reason.
I can vouch for the need of a very heavy duty unit to actually jump the R1's. At our autoshow in Feb, the fire marshall was a little clueless when it came to ev's and had the intake...
Back in the day, I mod'ed/ran a couple of android forums. We would either move the thread into an existing convo or post a link to the previous same convo and lock the thread. Saved a lot of frustration.
Why reinvent the wheel over and over. Rivian spent a bit of time putting together and maintaining an "owner's guide" with all sorts of useful information. Guiding people to that rather than answering one specific question might impart WAYYYYyyyy more wisdom than just that simple answer.
The...
Actually - vehicles before the first refresh, the wires are live and have caps on them. It was only at the refresh that they diode protected the lines.
Just some edification for folks in case maybe someone gets a used '22 early '23 and comes by this post.
Obviously that is not the case for...
I wonder how snarky Rivian Assistant will become when asked questions like that over and over...
Seriously though, why call someone a jerk for suggesting to read the manual? The fact they asked the original question implies they will likely have other similar questions and having them look at...
Some people, well most, can't handle constructive criticism. I'm glad if the OP came out on top, I just don't want others thinking it's a great thing to do. Heck, some jurisdictions it's actually illegal to leave your tow receiver in.
For connect+- you bet!, for being stuck on 2026.03, no that's all Rivian
edit- well I guess that is personal choice too as I could get rid of the truck
