Another question, what are these toggles using the SunnyPilot Stg-A program.

Both of those are debugging tools for the devs - nothing a standard user needs to mess with.

So my initial observation from running AdventurePilotDev/Stg-a is that it is very sketchy on curves and riding over the center line and also to curbs. I'm running the DTRv6.

How much does the Comma4 placement on the windshield matter, I feel like mine is too low and the Comma is having a hard time seeing the curve up close.

If you're running dtrv6, adding a slight camera offset may help. That's actually one of the recommendations for the model on https://sunnylink.wiki/models.

Im not sure of stg-a has Rawsignal's curve control yet, are you using it? It should be under the cruise settings in Sunnylink dashboard.

Placement on the windshield could also contribute, especially if you're using a Comma 4 without an 8-degree adapter. Lower placement on the windshield would mean more of the hood in the frame instead of the road.

Whew. Alright, I installed the harness. Axm is connected and wires ran but i don’t think I’m doing the fuse tap right. Can someone send a picture of the location and which direction the fuse tap is supposed to get installed? I have it plugged in but the comma 4 won’t turn on. USB cables are fine cause I checked them with standard outlets. So my guess is it’s the fuse tap. Any help is much appreciated!

It should be installed so the tail faces the front of the car.

I have power! I’ve never been so happy to see a , lol. I was going off the video you did @gerrylum and totally forgot to look further down in your guide for more detailed directions. This was a 2 day adventure for me (I somehow overlooked the T25 bit requirement, so had a delay) but I am connected! Thanks again @gerrylum

Nice! Glad to hear you have it powered up - now it's time for a test drive!

I am contemplating getting the C4 to use mostly in the R1S, and occasionally on long trips in in my Chrysler Pacifica. I will move the C4 between the cars as needed. I'm okay with the Rivian ACC for long control, so I think I only need stock harness and plan to get the additional harness for the Pacifica. I only plan to use during long stretches of straight road highways.

So my thoughts for order from Comma4 would be:
-Comma4
-Rivian A car harness
-FCA car harness

Questions I have:
- When the C4 is not installed (but harness is left in place), can I still use the stock driver+ and adaptive cruise on both cars?
- If the C4 is installed in the Rivian, can I still choose to use Driver+ mode, or is it competely disabled? Gerry's table in the awesome doc mentions "n/a", so I"m wondering if I could power off or bypass the C4 control to get the Driver+ back?
- Does the Comma4 (Rivian A harness) come with the an 8 degree adaptor, or do I need to order that separately?

BTW, I'm still on the fence about ordering the extreme kit, but I may do that instead of getting the Rivian A car harness. I'm learning more about it and seems advantageous to just install that kit instead. However, if I find for some reason that I don't like want to use angle control, can I still choose to switch back to torque control?

Thanks!, Tony.

Yup! When the comma is disconnected (or even when it's connected but openpilot is toggled off) you can use the stock Driver+ system. If openpilot is toggled off, the Comma is put in "dashcam mode".

The Comma 4 doesn't comewith an 8-degree adapter, but you can buy quick-release mounts that come with one, or you can 3d print one.
