There’’s an 60k normal inspection due anyway. Old dampers have been upgraded and need addressed and upgraded to the new, improved ones. The tip off is a “looseness” in the front end when going over rough pavement. My 59k early T is in line for the replacement.
800v is insignificant if the thermals aren’t managed better. My Gen1 R1T will hit 200+ for only a short time until the battery heats up and throttles the charge curve.
That’s weird. I used my local tire shop to align both my R1T and R1S without any issues whatsoever. OEM alignment was terrible. Tires last at least twice as long (or longer) now.
I’m sorry. In this day and age and with the current technology, slow charging is just not acceptable. Both my R1T and R1S charge fast enough and hold 205 until the battery heats up and slows the rate. Rivian needs to figure out how to keep 200 far longer.
One note of caution for all the R1T owners, be careful when you clean your rear camera lens because it is easy to scratch the plastic cover if you’re not careful. Don’t ask me how I know that.
Here are my tips as a veteran long cross country Rivian driver:
1) Tesla is the way to go. Numerous locations and they always work and no waiting for a charger to clear - ever.
2) The Tesla app will filter the non-compliant chargers out for you.
3) Combine charging with potty/meal/rest whenever...
Tesla allows you to ”purchase” FSD one month at a time. When I drove my MY, I would “purchase” FSD for the months I knew I would be driving a road trip. I sure hope FSD v14.1.7 is better than when i used FSD. The nag prompt was terribly annoying and defeated the purpose.
