I would also add that if you are trying to achieve a sound similar to what the band and engineer decided to record in the studio, an EQ should be used in moderation. It is generally best used to take away resonance points in the car. If you go with a big smile curve, you are pretty far from what...

I would take a different tact in responding to you. Anyone who has owned an R1 knows it is not ājust another carā. It is faster than 95%. Itās off road prowess is also top 95%. Its storage and utility is best in class. Itās GUI is better than anybody, including Tesla (having speed and...
I did the full front including the hood of my R1S. Pine sap and bird droppings can etch paint--so can acid rain.
As importantly, I learned car detailing basics. Use an initial 3-year+ ceramic coating, which requires a few extra steps. But from then on, washes take 20-30 minutes once a month. I...
Is there a data scientist on this thread who can opine on statistical significance? I like the look of the 21s, but I would get the 20s if the range was even a bit better. Does anybody know which wheel weighs more?
I don't have my R2 yet. But I find that PAAK works pretty well on my Rivian gen 1. My BMW X5 has it also, but it isn't quite as responsive or reliable as R1S. I too, have it set to turn off at home. With both, I occasionally need to open the app.
You can add 1.5 ish miles per hour with any normal outlet. When I go to remote places for the weekend, I often add 60-70 miles with basic level 1 charging. I carry a 50ft 14 gauge extension cord in the frunk.
My R1S sees Minnesota and Colorado winters. Both the side-view mirror camera and the rear camera need occasional cleaning. The backup camera may be the single greatest automotive invention.
The EPA part of it doesnāt bother me much, Rivian not being close to MY or iX3 in hwy range does.
I have only bought cars that are EV or PHEV since 2016. I bought two BMW X45e then a Grand Cherokee X4e and finally a BMW X50e (2026) āthat I bought to compliment the R2 that I have on order. Most...
If your remote driving routes do have charger stops, going with an R2 may force you to have 5-10 extra 15-minute charge stops each year. With everything else you like about R2, maybe that isn't a big deal.
I agree, but on the other hand, I think most were at least marginally surprised and/or disappointed that it was 77 miles off of Rivianās published range. RJ publicly said it would be competitive with MY.
It will be interesting to see if over the coming couple months, through manufacturing process tweaks and software updates, Rivian can add 5-10% more range. A 7% increase puts real range at 270 miles based on the OoS results.
Is the difference between media/customer expectations and actual range large enough to significantly diminish customer orders? If it is, what are Rivian's options? Wall Street will ask this question in 2 months. Rivian management knows this. They will be ready with either a rhetorical or...
