You’re right, but there’s a very limited number of buildings in those cities that could be used for a Rivian SC. Martinez or Concord have more choices & better prices, and us Rivian owners in the Tri Valley will be thrilled to go there rather than SSF.
This is great news! Martinez is even better for me than Hayward.
Not that it really matters, because my truck hasn’t had to go to a SC for anything I didn’t cause.
It’s not exactly what you’re talking about, but my setup is similar. Check it out here.
The offset of my aftermarket wheels pushes the tires out about an inch more than OEM. When the suspension bottoms out, the fronts rub very slightly on the outer edge. Running on normal/medium ride height...
I’m not sure I’d call the Camp Speaker a useless gimmick that they should get rid of. I love it when it works, but….
If they want to save money, which they certainly will on the R2’s & 3’s, this will likely not be included, along with several other things. Collectively, these items will set...
I have this happen also, but I think it’s a different Bluetooth issue, not related to the Camp Speaker. For me, it happens when I open a door of the truck while my phone is connected to another BT device, and the truck takes over the BT. Sometimes it happens when I just get near the truck. This...
After owning my R1T for 18 months, I don’t have much to complain about. I love the Camp Speaker when it works, but most of the time it’s a big disappointment. On a recent four day camping trip with the truck I was determined to figure this thing out. I took more time to read the manual (again)...
I was thinking that Rivian verified & doubled down on the R1 today. As an R1T owner, I was a bit concerned that they’d show a much different/better looking vehicle, with completely different & better looking front lights, and an R2T. They did nine of this. So my R1T is not going to look outdated...
Agreed.
Showing an air mattress might’ve begged the question - does it have an air compressor? I suspect that it won’t have an air compressor, or it would’ve been mentioned.
Agreed.
As an R1T owner, I also appreciate that they didn’t significantly change the overall design, such as the iconic front lights. This will make my Rivian look new, or least not outdated, for a long time. This will help resale values, which will help all things Rivian.
Your analysis fails to consider how the larger tires improve the looks & off road performance. For some of us that don’t need to maximize range, it’s worth the tradeoffs.
What if we were to hypothetically consider doing the opposite, mounting thinner than OEM tires? They’d be lighter and...
I realize that this vehicle isn’t even a living concept yet, and renderings always look better than reality. But it’s fun to dream about driving cars like this someday. Kinda like how we dreamed of owning 800hp quad motor luxury EV trucks not long ago. I’d love to see Rivian build something...
