The clicking sound when the suspension is adjusting leaving kneel mode is not the same issue as the tock when accelerating/decelerating. That one doesn't bother me as much because it goes away once the truck is raised.
I have absolutely noticed this relation to Temperature. With that said mine dissipated on 20” ATs as we’re going into winter. Then i put some Nokian tires on and the problem seemed to disappear altogether. I put back on ATs and the weather is warning and heating an increase in minor clicking...
I have noticed 2 things regarding this issue. It seems to be more of an issue/sound when it’s warm out. I put on my own Nokian tires on the existing at 20” wheels and i swear i don’t have the sound at all now.
It’s not that. The passenger seat belt sounds a lot fuller than the sound i am having. If i hold the seat belt away from the inside pillar it still happens.
I have a rattle on passenger side when driving alone. it sounds like thin metal or plastic that rattles longer than everything else when going over bumps with the two passenger wheels.
Yep i have this. For me it’s pretty quiet. It happens if my passenger side wheels go over rough payment or a man hole. It’s quiet but it still bothers me a bit. And like you said i don’t notice it when i have a passenger. So to me it’s something with seat belt anchor area or passenger seat.
Another update. Had mobile service for the recall and this tock issue. They greased the half shafts and hub bearings (not sure if correct terminology) and it has eliminated the problem. I asked the guy how long the grease would last and he said it was rated for lifetime.
It’s one thing to not have a fix for this in the field but have they fixed the manufacturing line or are they still putting cars out with this problem?
The other detail I for
Got it. the other thing I forgot to mention is the truck is retaining tangible water. I hear it sloshing around days after a rain on both sides of the truck so even when its sunny, when you drive it, it could cause the carpets to get wet again. Or so it seems like that...
I brought my R1T into service for this and other issues last Thursday 09/08 and have not heard anything. Between the time I noticed the dampness/wet problem and when I brought it in for service, I tried to monitor when the problem occurred and gather any other details I could.
It seems to be...
I have this problem and for me it is definitely more extreme with rain vs. AC Condensation and it seems to happen with the car is sitting in the rain vs. driving in it. I have service tomorrow as well and will let this thread know what comes of it.
