- Camp speaker. Used it once when camping deep in the woods in bear country.
- Air suspension. Kinda wish I could convert to springs at the standard height. I off-road and drive sporty a lot. Happy enough w/ standard height for most things.
Love this truck so much though :-)
Hi all,
Hoping the community can give a pulse check for me, and I suspect we'd all be curious. I've had my R1T since 2022, but due to multiple life events, haven't done nearly as much off-roading or trails as I'd like. That's opening up now, and my toddler loves adventure!!! I'm feeling a...
Well, with 800 miles on my new Territories, I had a rapid decompression yesterday on the highway. 0 psi by the time I pulled over. At first I thought I hit some road debris, but I think actually it was a large nail that I must have collected earlier and it got flung out.
At any rate, the hole...
Installed yesterday on a fresh set of MSW 52's. Just did an hour of highway + backroads to get a feel for them. Really pleased. Got 2.18 mi/kwh, 46*F outside and wet. That's on-par with my average on the 21"s of 2.2 mi/kwh! Legit didn't expect that without more break in.
The ride feel is...
I've got the 21s on my Oct 2022 delivery R1T. 25k miles now. checked my wear just a couple weeks ago, at 7/32 and 8/32. PNW resident. Even mix of highway, city, and very spirited sport driving on back roads...
Must be the heat down there in AZ!
+1 for BuiltRight, I've got the fully MOLLE set on my T and very happy with it. I have a 5 gallon water tank off one of the panels and it's been great for nearly a year.
Also agree on the interior usage. I ran panels in the rear window panels on my old Nissan XTerra and had luggage off those...
Awesome! I've been rocking the gazelle T4. A tip I learned the hard-way: it performs so much better in the rain if you use the guy ropes to pull flaps away from the eyelets on the side. Last fall I spent 2 days just outside the Hoh rainforest in my T4 in truly torrential rain and stayed...
I've never needed to reset my charger, I don't think. Sometimes I have to reset the truck.
Once every 2 months, my R1T will fail to initiate a charge from the wall charger -- either red ring or staying white while plugged in. It's happened about 4 times now. At first I suspected the wall...
I'm running the 30L version of the "ACOPOWER&LiONCooler 12V Car Refrigerator" (amazon link). It has a battery that charges off a wall socket and can run the fridge for about 18 hrs on a charge. It fits in the bed w/ tonneau closed. The bigger sizes will NOT fit.
Absolutely love this thing...
Awesome! I too have come to R1T glamping from moto-camping previously -- it's so luxurious!!!
I have this fridge (ACOPOWER&LiONCooler 12V Car Refrigerator-32 Quart -- X30A) and it fits nicely in the bed with the tonneau closed. Absolutely love it!
Ditto. Agree the quality was flimsy, but it IS very effective against smoke!
I installed mine during some smoky days up here in the PNW, outside PM 2.5s were around 100 or so (which makes the math easy). I have an air quality sensor (Wynd -- discontinued now), and tested both the outside air...
2010 XTerra, 2" lift, full off-road underbody protection. Absolute beast in any condition, took it on jeep roads and surprised the rednecks. Loved that truck. Didn't love the 15mpg. Sold the XTerra to a friend, so I still get to see pictures of her exploring the world.
Now my R1T has 21s...
Use fish tank filter medium!
Back in Feb I dropped a chapstick into that crevice. It was rolling around under the seat for months. After they retrieved it (for free!) during a service appointment for wind noise, I vowed never again. I got some fish tank filter medium and cut it to a couple...
We're a P2 (hers) and R1T (mine) household. They are both fantastic EVs! The P2 is really insanely fun to drive fast on gravel and forest roads. It's begging to have a rally build. The P2 is also much more confidence inspiring in winter weather. And the google integration is amazing (though...
Yes, my Polestar 2 seems to have close to 0 vampire drain. I've left it for 2 weeks in a freezing airport parking lot (Seatac) and had 0 loss. Nearly all P2 owners have the same experience. Amazing car. If only it had better range :-(
I think you'd have to work INCREDIBLY hard to degrade a battery below 70% SOC over 8 years. I view that warranty as really covering long-term defects.
Charge state is a thing I worry about re: the big one (the earthquake, that is). We're an all EV family now (R1T + Polestar 2), and in the PNW...
